I did look at this because I never got to grips with ebay and you could send your books off straight away, which appealed. However, it has never recognised the ISBN of anything I tried, which were recently bought and read fiction books.
I probably could have got reasonable prices for my DH's OU textbooks, except that he won't part with them and has written in them. It would be good for me for textbooks if I do a course because I would like it as a lazy option and it would probably encourage me to pass on books that I would otherwise keep forever.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -
I have finally had a big sort out. Got a car full of stuff dfor the carboot tomorrow.
I broke my foot six months ago and the permanent swelling I now have due to the surgery etc and the positioning of the scars means I have quite a few pairs of shoes I cannot wear anymore. I finally accepted this and parted with them.
Also I found loads of handbags (can only use one at a time!) and realised some of them I have never used nor do I even like! They are in the car for tomorrow.
Sorted through all my papers and shredded loads. Sorted through my clothes and got rid of stuff to my craft bin bag (ok not gettng rid of completely but clears room in my wardrobe and will be used for other things).
I have a lot of things in storage, next task is to go and sort through all of those boxes.Since 1st January 2013:-
£430 from the sale of old jewellery
£50 from sale of old mobile phone
I will do that much over due carboot sale!
Back on mega weight loss regime. Lost 9 stone in two years all by myself. Now I am BACK ON IT!!!0 -

I had trouble keeping up this week ( week off for dh) and no dericharding on the cards ATM. Just decorating ( honestly, tedious, I used to find this fun but it's taken forever and we stll aren't finished. ) and not been very energetic.
I am with everyone in spirit....jus ATM the glen is weak. You lot are probably all clear or getting there while I sit with all the junk still here being pushed in and out of the ninth square:o0 -

I have a huge black dog sitting on me, so barely function at home, so although I would like to reply to posts I just don't have enough oomph. Today has been a little better, I made myself go out for a walk, then came home and cooked myself a full roast dinner! Which has now been decluttered.
I feel like a crysalis (sp) waiting to turn into a butterfly. Coming to the realisation I haven't let go of the past although in some ways I thought I had, and feel it's about bloody time I did and lived my life instead of being, well at times, really sorry for myself. But there's something comfortable about the familiar and really I have to step outside of my comfort zone. And be happy and content.
House is still in need of decluttering a few things, along side a tidy up.0 -
Byatt, sorry about the black dog. Wouldn't it be great if balls to throw for them were as easy to find?0

I'm decluttering an aspirational hobby; am turning the hoarded flaked candlewax from old candles into new candles this aft. Big fun (sad I know). This also means that the hoarded candle molds (OK, Pr*ngle tubes and UHT milk cartons) will be used and then outta here, too.
Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.
