also found the Undercover Boss but cannot read instructions properly and was looking at 10pm to start..maybe the same for ratkarth.
Quite excited as I like the show and can't believe I missed this one originally....Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
welcome back, Spursman and thanks for the trip report...sorry to hear that downtown is losing its shine for you...it's not somewhere we think of staying for any extended period but I know for some it's great...shame to hear when someone starts to change their opinion on something they once really enjoyed.Spursman180 wrote: »we the got turned into Boston at 1am eastern, with a passenger taken ill, very ill I understand, we were only 3 hours late into Gatwick, but that was too much for some passengers and the captain basically had to put them straight over the PA for hassling cabin crew?
I don't doubt it...we had a flight once to Vegas that was taxing and got pulled into a layby sort of thing along the runway at LGW as a passenger had taken ill...it took about 2 hours all in until the poor guy and his wife were taken off, bags offloaded, etc. and we were back on our way and the women in front of us were evil about it - so rude to the flight attendants and about the general situation 'why don't they just get him off the plane so we can go?!' 'well, ma'am, that is what we will do just as soon as the paramedics can get to us an assess his condition and prepare him for transport - we are on an airport runway, after all - there are many safety issues involved for all passengers at this point'...the poor wife of the man was apologizing to every row as they were taking her husband off on a stretcher sort of thing (so unnecessary for her to apologise!) and we found out in the departure lounge of the return flight that the gentleman had had a heart attack...interestingly, when the meal service came the FA happened to accidentally drop a glass of wine onto the lap of one of the evil mouthy women...whoopsy!
Some people are really not very nice.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

Seems it was announced October 26 last year and became active for earning Honors points last month.
I registered for the double points promotion and came very close to booking either Tropicana or Elara, after including the resort fee for Trop there was nothing in it.
In the end didn't book either of them.
Have been in Trop since refurb and its nicely done, but not stayed there, most seem to like it as long as you manage your expectations.
It is good value, but the lowest rates do not attract double points, so that didn't sway me, the AAA rate was $30 per night less than the double points rate.
With no resort fee I would have give it a go despite some reservations, but in the end it was actually cheaper to book Vdara for our dates , so no contest really.0 -
Hey all,
going to vegas for my partners 30th in June. We went last year and really enjoyed it so going to surprise him with this. I've been looking at Luxor what do people think about it?
We stayed at MGM signature last year and it was unbelievable but we fancy staying in a bigger hotel this time with a food court and other things.
thanks all!x0
