    Hey all,

going to vegas for my partners 30th in June. We went last year and really enjoyed it so going to surprise him with this. I've been looking at Luxor what do people think about it?

We stayed at MGM signature last year and it was unbelievable but we fancy staying in a bigger hotel this time with a food court and other things.

    thanks all!x

All depends on what your budget is I suppose and how many nights you are going to be staying.

I've heard mixed things about the Luxor but then it may be best to suit your budget. What about the MGM Grand or the Vdara? Even one of the Caesars hotel that have no resort fee like Planet Hollywood or Caesars Palace again might depend on your budget but I would generally move closer to the centre of the strip or the MGM Grand.

    My tuppence worth, cheers

Me too...and I've never stayed at the Signature, but have heard enough about it.

Maybe somewhere like Cosmo in one of their more apartment-y sort of rooms would be more similar...though I guess they don't have a food court...I'm kind of confused about that particular requirement ;)...it all depends on budget I'm sure.

I have had no joy at all from Virgin regarding the changes to my flights. I'm still writing stuff on their Fb page, but don't expect any change from them. Thoroughly disgusted with them at the moment.

Have you quoted any of the legislation that Luci posted which appears to say they "have" to get you back to your original point of arrival

I've just had an email from Hilton saying

'Earn double points or double miles on your next trip

Tropicana Las Vegas, a Doubletree by Hilton resort'

When did that happen?! Has anyone been since it became a Doubletree?

I also saw that on Priceline at lunch time today! I was thinking the same thing.

Hope you get it sorted Pebbles. Happened to us a few years ago we were going to Florida. We had booked through expedia I think (or ebookers or whatever) and they could only get us another flight with the same carrier, which meant we would be in Charlotte for about a day and a half. In the end we took the refund and rebooked with another company and a different carrier. Took a while for our refund to come through, but we just had to get booked asap as we had booked a cruise from Miami. It wasn't ideal, about £100pp more, however we just rebooked and drew a line under it.

I hope you do get it resolved, but if it's stressing you out you might be best to just rebook with another carrier and get your money back. Disappointing that they're not very helpful though as well!
