Is 'The Quad' literally just a rename, or have they done something with it?... (or in fact, are they planning to do something with it?)

there's not been too much official word i don't think, but apparently the casino is getting a revamp initially, but not the rooms.

We would love to do the Scoot city tour but OH doesn't drive and it wouldn't be fair that I'd have all the fun :D

don't let that stop you! me and the OH shared the driving, and sitting in the passenger seat was pretty much just as fun! :)

The Venetian were having a grand opening for the new poker room (even though it had been open for months) and were doing a prize give away every 15 mins all night till midnight. I won that at 23:45, the last prize was a trip for two to Singapore, so close lol. I think it is actually Faith Evans btw not Faith Hill.

I know the Imperial Palace has a bad rep but I have survived Circus Circus before so surely it can't be much worse? It is a great location anyway and Hash House a Go Go is quality to pig out at :)

Now this is a wild theory and all, but as its the memorial weekend and all, could it be a case of loads of peeps turn up on Friday and check-in, most probably gone for the cheaper rooms ?
So when i turn up on Saturday, there is that remote chance the standard rooms are gone and we might be lucky enough to get a nicer room ?!) Hope so!!!!!! :D:D Would be icing on the cake!

It will probably work the opposite, if busy then more people will have tried the $20 trick and got an upgrade leaving more standard accommodation available.

Just to tease - they will have probably made a comment on your booking/account so when checking in they will refuse an upgrade unless you are paying for it :)

Why are you staying at Excalibur? It's not great - If it was me I would certainly change to something in a similar price bracket in mid-strip.

On a separate note does anyone know if the Cosmo are still doing free breakfasts for international guests? We stayed last year as part of honeymoon trip and free Wicked Spoon breakfast buffets were a welcome bonus.

Not as a blanket thing, no...we checked when we were there in October...had booked the International Guests offer at the time (20% off I think) not expecting breakfast but asked anyway just in case...guy went away and came back and said that no, that was no longer an offer for all international guests - now it was down to which package you booked...ours was the 20% off package so no free breakfast for us..which was fine, we were not expecting it.

on the resort fee thing - we were charged it, and we were booked as international guests (on an international guests offer)...but it could be (I suppose) that lowcostusa have a special deal with them...we booked direct as I prefer to do so even if it costs a bit more, that's just me and not very MSE, I know. :)
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

Found a flight with United going from Belfast for £480, quite a difference from the £750+ to go from Glasgow. One change going, two coming back.

£480 is a good price however not great with those stop overs especially considering when you still have to get to and from Belfast before/after your journey.

That said it depends on when you are going as you can get to Vegas for about £580 direct from London/Manchester on certain periods.

What airline can you get that price with? I'll see how much it would cost me to get there.
