always find smartervegas.com more expensive given it takes you direct to the site with a code which makes the booking way more expensive than booking with a UK agent ! strange that! :D:D
I can get the Fab deluxe at Flamingo for 5 nights for £222 with Travel republic, or £265 exclu Tax via Smartervegas.com
Do like there rooms mind, looks real nice in the photos!

Upto 28000 points now in MyVegas! :D:D
4 more months of this and i should be able to get a few Brucey bonuses! :D

The fab room is their basic room now, they have just been refurbed but all they did was put a fake wodd effect lino floor in rather than carpet, they didnt touch the bathrooms, as has been said the Go rooms are much nicer

Stuie, you mean there are 4 more months before you go?! let me know when you start trying to decide where to eat, I have a return ticket to Tenerife I want to use. ;)
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

Fab Deluxe at the Flamingo is their lowest level of room. They are not the best although I think they have been recently "improved".
We stayed at the Flamingo in November last year, having stayed there twice before.I do have a soft spot for it as it was the first hotel we stayed at on our first visit(you always remember your first time, right??)FIrst visit we stayed ina GO room which was brilliant, second time just a basic average room,it was ok and then la st year we stayed in a FAB room which was actually really nice.Yes the bathroom wasnt updated but the strip view across from Serendipity was great and the bedroom bit was really modern. We have also stayed at MGM and because I emailed them that it was OH 50th , we got upgraded to a celebrity spa suite.I still prefer the atmosphere at the Flamingo though.

Does anyone know what MGM Grand's best rate guarantee is or have you every had any experience getting them to price match? I am trying to get them to price match at the moment and they are giving me the run around! One minute they are saying they only match prices on websites owned by them the next minute they are saying their price match policy is the same as Aria's and the next they are saying they dont price match!

put it this way (Price Match stuff)
I think the email which some dude had which he showed on here from 'Aria' was a 1 of a kind!
They dont price match against brokers who are cheaper than them as i am finding out!
Ironically, where did you see the link to show that MGM Grand does a price match ????

I've been waiting 165 hours for the department that deals with the price match promo stuff to get back to me, emailed on Thurs to say if they dont sort it out, i will cancel and go elsewhere (for my Excal & Luxor bookings)

Had a reply from a marketing manager who said she needed higher authority to process/look into the claim ?! !!!!!!! its her department, says it in her sig on email!!!!

However, as of 20 mins ago, the silly moo somehow got my name on an email sent to the peeps that deal with the Price Promo's at:
    Excal
    Lux (inc herself)
    Monte Carlo
    MGM Grand
Although her email relates to "does anyone need anything from Office Depot!!" haha !! :)
at least i got the email addy's of the peeps that are supposed to deal with promotions, feel free to PM me if u want the addy, or is it safe to post on here ?

hi everyone... i'm keen to keep the front page info up-to-date and as interesting as possible, but most importantly, MSE-focused.

I was thinking about developing the 'free attractions' section, to include stuff which is just interesting to see/experience. May be things as simple as seeing the Chihuly flowers, or chocolate fountain in Bellagio as well as places to visit like M&M World/Coca-Cola World. If there's enough stuff, could then maybe break it down hotel-by-hotel.

I appreciate we could end up listing everything there is to see/do in Vegas, but trying to keep it MSE-related :)

Sooo... if anyone has any hidden secrets, favourites, etc. which is free to see/do, fire away :)
What about senior deals? I don't think we have anything about that on the front page. We use several of them each trip and I can put a few hints together for you if you like. I'm not at home right now. (On holiday again,:))but can get a few links together for you within a couple of weeks, if there is no rush. Let me know.

    If a hotel 'Comps' u a room
and they write Comp & tax (but you pay resort fee)
Am guessing that means the room is on the house with tax included ?
