I have been for 4 nights, I wouldnt do it again, It can take the first 2 days to adjust to the time difference, having said that if its the only chance you have to go, and you really want to....0 -
thank you- that's what I was scared off - the jet lag. Maybe just do New York instead but I know he'd love to go to Las Vegas.:cool:0

I'm going in March for 5 nights, im sure you would make the most out of it whilst you are there, perhaps plenty of caffeine0 -

one of the things we like about Vegas is that it's a 24-hour city...if we're up at 4am it's fine...with the exception of things like shows and some restaurants and mall shopping you can pretty much do everything else Vegas-y anytime...I wouldn't let jetlag put you off of going to Vegas...I agree it's probably not ideal, but I do know plenty of people who go for short trips...pennylane regularly does, I think.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
If it's a choice between Vegas and NY for 4 days, I'd definitely choose Vegas. As ferf says, you can do most things Vegas at any time of the day or night and could possibly just keep to UK time for the 4 days.0

I usually only do 5 nights, even flying from the UK as I find that is enough.
I've done 4 nights a couple of times - if you are flying direct, it's no big deal - especially if you keep to UK sleeping hours!0 -
I did three nights once and was shattered afterwards but fine whilst there - mainly on account of getting extremely drunk on the way over and staying that way for the majority of the trip.
In my defence I was young and daft and the whole trip was a freebie.0 -
A while back there was a call for suggestions for additional info for the first few posts.
Thanks to NVH for directing me to http://www.headforpoints.com/ (on page 282). I think this could be a useful referral to have in those initial posts as there is a wealth of information on the various airline points programmes as well as detailed reviews of the credit cards available which provide ways of accumulating points (avios for example).0 -
How frequently does the half-price Scoot City tour appear on Groupon? I did it when I was last there and loved it, and am planning on doing it again when I go back in June. If anyone sees it there please post it in here!0
