We'll we are day 5 now and I can honestly say we have commented on the fact we have hardly seen any brits.
glad we are staying at TI end as the building work mid to NYNY would drive me insane.
Have fallen in love with Willie Wonka machine,up to yesterday had won over $500 and then walking through Bellagio spotted one and put my $ 20 not realising it was higher credit than the one in TI,thought I had won $140 turned out to be $655 Whoopee!!!!!!Only downside is me and OH keeping humming theme tune all day!!!
Got to go,going down to outlet mall for 2nd time this week for final bargains, will do trip report when I am home.0 -
Has anyone done the Big bus night tour? Is it worth doing?0

There are no direct flights from MAN, that's why you cant find any
Im flying direct from Manchester on 2nd April. Virgin and Thomas Cook both fly direct from Manchester.
I'm not sure Virgin do anymore, but TC definetly do as that's who we flew with.
ETA: Apparently they are suspended between Nov and March.0 -
Loving this thread, really hepful. Im in the process of looking whats available. I am looking to go to Vegas on the week of Feb 10th. I have had quotes for Aria, Excalibur, Flamingo with flights.
Im travelling alone and planning on seeing a few shows and visiting the hotels plus the Grand Canyon. I always meet up with people on trips.
I am also hoping to book to see Matt Goss at Caesars Palace. There are 3 levels of pricing for tickets . VIP is what I may go for as I really want to do the meet and greet after. I dont think the other tickets include this. I have tried to see if there is anyone else going to his show during that time on his face book page and meet other fans. Ive had no comeback but I will be ok I guess. How has other people experienced his shows?
Im hoping to do Vegas on a budget food wise. Im not a big drinker or gambler.:A but I may trya cocktail or two. I see someone mentioned there is a Wallmart in earlier posts. Im a big fan of Wallmart. I was always in there when I lived in USA for 3 mths in my 20s:T:T:T
I will be checking to see if I can get time off work next week and then book something0 -

well done! Those machines were positively evil to us so we quite playing them - so glad that they are good to some...I really really wanted to love them..we found most places they were not really being played much which is somewhat odd for new machines...after our experience we assumed that they were not being played as they were really tight, but perhaps we did not give them enough of a chance!
Enjoy the rest of your trip.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
my husband regularly looks at youtube videos of slot machines when he's missing Vegas and he came across this one - I recommend keeping the volume down until after 10 seconds in (as about 9 secs he says how much the win is as he could read it on the screen) and the anticipation of 'how much did he win?' is much better without hearing that early on...plus, if you are me, you mentally moved the decimal point and thought he won 1/10 of what he actually did...

$2 stake. TWO DOLLARS. We regularly play $1 and occasionally a bit more...this could have been us!
I cannot even imagine...nor can I even believe that that win was as much as it was...I played an Awesome Burst machine at Luxor on our last day before we dropped off the car and it was rubbish...I may have to give them more of a chance.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

We saw him a couple of months ago, and it was the most amazing night. Whatever ticket you have, there isn't a bad seat in the house as it's so small and intimate. We had the cheapest tickets at 40$ each. I considered this an absolute bargain as we had paid £120 each to see him in London the year before (in a much less nice venue).
The people doing meet and greet get seats right at the front and loads of interaction with Matt. I hear its awesome after the show.
Drinks, as you'd expect, are awfully expensive.
I will go again without a doubt. The music, atmosphere, sheer sense of show were just fantastic.0 -

It's a fantastic show, you will love it esp if you are a fan of his. We just buy the cheapest tickets and still manage to do the meet and greet afterwards!! Such a bargain compared to what you pay to see him in this country.0 -
