This is on the email confirmation I got:
Thank you for using FairFX.
Please see details of your order below:
You have bought: $663.60 US Dollars to top up an existing FairFX Currency Card
(at the FairFX Rate of £1 = $1.6590)
Which cost: £400.00
Total: £400.00 Pounds Sterling
The order has now been accepted, and you have entered into a legally binding contract.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
You will not be able to recharge your card again while this transaction is being processed. You are also limited to performing two recharges in any one day.
So as it says, we have entered into a legally binding contract....
they cant undo this!
Typo or PR stunt, whichever it is, its a big loss to them, as said earlier, the interbank rate hasn't reached $1.65 in the past 12 months, let alone the holiday buyer rates!!0 -
wasn't a typo judging by this:

strange!! I flew with US Airways, outta Amsterdam...
but I picked our seats months before we flew (login via there website, etc), I had booked flights via expedia...
maybe your best bet is to see what deal u can pull when u get to the airport ??
When we flew from AMS, we had picked the seats, but when we got o the plane, I said a few nice things to the American bird about swapping chairs, few smiles, etc, and we got moved to the exit seats!(works sometimes!)

Yeah i think im going to have to blag this somehow!
If i say that my misses is a very nervous passenger etc and suffers from asthma, which she does...You reckon that might help the case lol Is there something they have to do if someone makes them aware before the flight etc?Halifax loan - 6800 - 198 DD a month

What do their T&Cs say constitutes acceptance of a contract? Do you have an acceptance from them? This is on the email confirmation I got:

They honoured it - I think it was because of how much I bought (over £2k) that I flagged up - I called them up on the terms, they have an interesting one at 14 which I suspect they would have a hard case proving it wasnt unfair - which apparently even after agreeing and putting the money on your card they can cancel it at ANY time.
Fortunately I didn't need to argue too much, just pointed them to the bit where the email of acceptance is a bound contract.
Happy to keep recommending them now, they've always been very good to me to be honest.0 -
Just a quick post.
After the horrendous journey outbound the inbound via Atlanta and Amsterdam was all on time BUT one of our cases arrived in Norwich completely wrecked!!!!one corner of the case about 6 inches by 6 inches has vanished!! The guys at Norwich were expecting it as they had been warned by the crew in Amsterdam so not sure where it happened.
Now on top of my denied boarding claim on the way out, I have another claim for a case and a few items of clothing.0 -
Hi everyone. Just after any reviews on Stratosphere? Still looking for super cheap hotels. Anyone stayed there? I like the casino and I have no problem with where it is. My go to hotel was Sahara for many years so I'm cool with that area. I'm trying to do a two week trip and Strat is coming really good for 5 days at the end of it. Cheers everyone!
Also someone was mentioning rock bars not sure who?? but I suggest the Double Down its across from the Hard Rock hotel. Great place with live bands every weekend. Also free entry plus its Vegas it never closes!!0
