    Depends where you eat TBH
Vegas can be mega cheap to eat or mega expensive if you eat in the swankier places on the Strip.

Did you buy any of the 2 for 1 buffet deals ?

Just received this email which I found interesting

"We regret to inform you that we have ended our role in the renovations
of Bill's Gambling Hall. We sincerely apologize for the build-up (pun-intended)
of anticipation around Gansevoort Las Vegas. However, the world is our
playground and we still plan on spreading the Gansevoort lifestyle, one city
    at a time.

Be sure to sign up for our newsletter for the inside scoop on where we'll
    stake our grounds next.

Thank you for being a part of the Gansevoort Hotel Group family. We value
each and every one of you."

It was announced last Saturday that Caesars Entertainment were pulling, something to with a dispute about a casino in Boston or something... Building work is still going ahead apparently.

As with many others on here I'm slowly losing the will to live whilst trying to accumulate the 'gold' on my vegas and I'm interested to know whether my rate of aquiring them is comparable to others.

So how long did it take you and how many did you end up with/have you got?

I started first week in July and seemed to hit 10-15k pretty quickly. It's been slow going since and I'm now at 53,000.

Originally I was spending all the playing chips when I got them at max bets but then after some discussions here I changed to 200 bets on lost in time as that was the most efficient outlay for the gold and also accumulated 'v' symbols for the hotels.

I'm still playing 200 but on MGM stars as there's less interuptions for the bonus/free spins. However I'm only on level 55 and the 'v' symbols stopped and don't start again until level 58.

    I've got 600,000 chips.
I play roughly 30 mins in a morning before work and 30 mins lunchtime, only on weekdays and probably for 13 or so of the 18 weeks since I started.

Hope that makes sense, just interested in others experiences. It's doing my nut in but (I hope) will be worth it for a few free shows/dinners etc.

Haha, what a divvy. Whilst I wrote the above I set the game away, only to return to my autospins on £20k, So scratch the above 600,000 chips and replace with 250,000! I am on level 56 now though!

I started in July and have around 120,000 lps - I try to get on every day at least to get my daily chips and if I get chance I collect from the hotels a couple of times a day when I'm on Facebook anyway.

I don't play daily, but at the weekend if I'm watching a film I leave it running for 2-3 hours and just check occasionally if it needs any interaction from me.

Been there, done that. It took along time to get over 100k for me...about two months I think...
