Its ok i can see what will happen, oh please let me put this in your case as you've not bought much, fine put it in my case then.

I've told her she needs to pack bare minimum and even looks like its going to be sunny everyday while we are there so she wont need anything really! Girls aye!

i think for our next trip, we'll pre-pay for a third suitcase on the way back and buy a cheap one out there to fill.

hmm, though we may able to put one case inside another on the way out... we don't take nearly as much stuff now as when we first went (another reason for having the washer/dryer in the room, yeah! :D)

You've had 3 'thanks' for your post...I wonder how many of those three are just because you said 'washing machine'?

Yep - she's already got four boxes of stuff sat there at the hotel waiting for our Saturday arrival (some of its been there a week, we'll need to give them a gift :)

Very kind of them to store them for you. I'm curious - what hotel is it, and do they charge you for the privilege? I've never thought to do that, and would wonder if it was ok to do it without forewarning them. Would be interesting to hear what hotels are quite happy to do that...might consider some online shopping for even better bargains next time :)
  • just on the packing cases thing, i don't know if i'm being over cautious, but we (me and OH) don't have a case each but split our things over 2 cases, just in case one got lost or delayed, at least we'd have SOME stuff we can wear/use :)

We always do that too, it was the DH idea, he's much more organised than I am! :rotfl:

Like a lot of women, I always pack too much, I never wear half of it! Before we went, I took about 3-4 pairs of trousers out and a few tops because I felt I'd put too much in....I didn't miss them, I'm getting wiser, I don't take numourous pairs of shoes anymore, or multiple handbags!

Can anyone recommend a nice hotel that has a swimming pool and an onsite casino that is not on the strip.

Previously we have stayed at the Tropicana and the MGM but am looking for somewhere that's not directly on the strip but within a mile or so taxi ride from the strip as OH is disabled now so think we prob wont do as much walking this time.

    2 bellagio breakfast/lunch buffets
    2 shark reef tickets
    2 NYNY coaster tickets
    2 below zero bar tickets

Someone informed me if i bought $5's worth of coins i would be able to redeem 4 things, so we will see if thats true when i get there!!!

This one is a Marriott Courtyard - I have done this all over the US though - my other half orders stuff to be delivered whenever I am in the US on business, its a real saving grace as it means shes to blame if she buys the wrong size :D

Hotels in some places have limited space, NYC for example you can usually only get a few boxes before you arrive. I would imagine though that the hotels in Vegas are quite use to this.

It can be really useful, with Zappo's and Amazon a guilty pleasure of ours quite often ($100 sat navs, $25 converses etc). We use pre-pay mastercards from FairFX for all our US stuff - otherwise you start getting grief with fraud departments etc.

Yep, we do this when we travel, pack a case each and then put half in half in each case. Been doing that ever since a guy at work arrived in Dubai and his case didn't for a WEEK. Even he now puts a pair of pants in his hand luggage :rotfl:

Can anyone tell me where I am likely to be able to watch Man Utd v Arsenal on Sunday 10th Nov in Vegas?
  • Probably at the Crown and Anchor. It might tell you on their website, or perhaps you could send them an email or facebook message (assuming they have a facebook page).
