  • Hi StuieUK34 - sounds like you have an awesome trip planned! Just wondering, if you are a guest at MBay, do you still have to pay for loungers etc? Going next month...

all loungers are free at all hotels...
In Mbay and Luxor (and all the others), u can pay for better loungers which are roped off.....
or in the luxor, there is a private pool where u pay for standard loungers and better ones :)
Mbay comfy loungers = $50! (each when we went in May!)

    Vdara does sound good :):)
I've added Vdara, Signature and Aria to my list, as all should offer some luxury and fit the bill for sunbathing all day!
especially the vdara, would be a cheap divorce if I can get the wife positioned in the correct place! (thanks Ferf!) :D:D:D:D (would need proper melting temps mind!)

we really like the Aria too, but haven't stayed there - we've got to that point (which i swore never to be like!) where we're really comfortable at the hotel we know & like.

we always talk about staying at other hotels, and came close to splitting the trip in easter with 4 nights at one, 4 nights at another. but just to be completely relaxed and comfortable, we're happy staying at vdara :)

We've only stayed at the Trop (suite), Mbay (suite), GN and Lux....
Just like you say, we like the Mbay and Lux, happy to stay in them 2 again, I just like the idea of trying to get the best/max for the money.....
After reading a bit, would appear the Sig is good, as only a short walk from the casino in MGM, and a short walk to the MGM pool as well as having a pool at the bottom of your tower......

Vdara sounds nice and quiet, has pool, etc and is 5*......
Aria always sounds good, but costs £100 more than the Vdara/Sig..... That's a stretch to use that hotel! :D
Ooooowwww, why does May seem so far away!!
I helped my friend find a good deal yesterday, booked with BritishAirways holidays, they got a week in NYNY in December for £716 each :)
Getting jealous as I cant wait to go back! although, I need to save more than I currently do, I need £2k gambling money + normal spending money!!!!
  • Thanks Stuie!

Glad to hear you liked MBay - we got a deal making it cheaper that Luxor (although via agent so I'm sure you could have got it even cheaper!)

Getting very excited hearing how much you guys all love it! But a bit aprehensive as to how much cash to take! There's no way we'll be gambling more than £200 in our trip though - we're not gamblers but will give it a go for the drinks and experience. Think I'll stay at the slots, though hubby may try his hand at a table.

Signature is usually available for $69/$89 these days. Plus resort tax.

He may have to hunt around for low-stakes tables, just to be aware that depending on the casino/day/whether there are any big events in town, etc. some of the minimum bets may be a bit high for a lower gambling budget.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

have you checked prices through your MLife account (if you have one) - I was getting 8 nights at easter coming up at $881 (if that compares well?)

i'm liking the idea of setting up a separate gambling account to save!
