Has anyone had this buffet at Mirage.

Also has anyone done the buffet at palms, which is also on Travelzoo at the moment.More importantly, has anyone done both, and which do they think is the best.
I am not really a fan of buffets, done about 3 in the past, and never thought much to them. But the wife likes them so will probably do one or the other of the Travelzoo deals. At least they come with booze supplied,I can always get my monies worth there.

Before you or anyone else takes this deal consider the LVA members reward book for $37.

It has a BOGOF for Mirage buffet and a 50% off at Palms up to $50 along with many more bogofs etc so may work out better value

To answer your question I havent been to Palms but thought the Mirage buffet was good, better than many on the strip
  • Hi,

I'm visiting Vegas in a couple of weeks and we'd like to take a trip to the Grand Canyon. I've seen the type of trip we'd like (collect from hotel, fly to rim, coach tour, fly back and taken back to the hotel). The cheapest trip I've seen is with Papillon Tours which is from $249.99 each.

    http://www.papillon.com/popris/show_package.aspx?package_id=39&lang=en-US

As that is a lot of money I wondered if it's best to book the tour before we travel or would be get a better rate (or better trip) if we booked it in Vegas?

I've looked through this site and can't really find the answer to my question.

Having said that though I have to say that this site is absolutely fantastic and the information that people are sharing is brilliant :T:T:T

Looks good, can see yours does include resort fee. I was looking at palazzo but it doesn't state resort fee inc, so going to do some more investigating!

    Excited!!!

Just booked our second trip to Las Vegas with our children. We've taken them before, so we know what it's like :j

Question for all- we want to do some side trips to Zion NP, Bryce Canyon and (possibly) Grand Canyon. It looks like it would be a good idea to quit Vegas completely and stay nearer when we do that. Is there one central location that would work well for day trip from there, or would we be better off doing two / three lots of one night in different places. I don't want to be away from Vegas for more than three nights, I don't think.

Thanks for Virgin Miles and United Miles for making this trip possible

Have been to both GC and Bryce Canyon but on seperate trips.

Stayed in Tropic for Bryce canyon, great place to stay its a very small town in the middle of nowhere (it is in the canyon).

Stayed just outside the GC in tusayan.

Not sure how it works to do both in one trip though as Tropic and Tusayan are 300 miles apart.

If you are driving its the best part of a day to either Tropic or Tusayan and a day between the 2, so 3 days driving all together.

I would do one of them with a one or 2 night stopver and save the other one for next year;)

We're off on Thursday and I have been sorting out the cheapest way to have wifi as I refuse to pay $20 per day per device for Internet access in our hotel room (Paris).

I've been having a nightmare with my iphone 5 because its on O2 and they refuse to unlock it yet! The costs for data roaming and use in the USA are astronomical.

My intention was to buy the Tmobile sim whilst out there but this isn't an option as my phone is locked to O2.

Anyway I don't trust that if I switch off data roaming that I won't have some nasty surprise huge bill, as I have read that others have had had this happen.

So I did a little experiment and took out the sim and everything works via wifi except the phone call bit. We have 2 basic phones from Walmart that we take to Vegas anyway so this isn't an issue re phoning each other. These are the Net10 ones or Tracphone, can't remember.

I have also just downloaded this which apparently works on all devices but we will use it for contact with my daughters via ipad and my iphone....all free.

Gets great reviews so now I'm happy, I get to take my iphone5 without worrying that I'll have some charges made, I can communicate with my daughters and it shouldn't cost me a dime as I'll just use the free wifi that is available in the MGM properties and at various other places.

so for ages we have really wanted to see Criss Angel to see just how bad it is but only if it was super cheap...hubby decided that since the My Vegas thing only allows 3 redemption in a 30-day period now that he would be happy to blow some points to allow us to finally see it...for free (yes, arguably could have used the points for something else but still). ..so booked that today - going in with zero expectations. He's also got us 2 Bellagio lunch buffets and is hoping to have enough points for the CC Steakhouse deal (current sold out) before we go.

So while I couldn't do it myself - I don't really like playing internet games enough - for someone like my hubby who does it's a pretty good deal.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?
