We were row 4 and expected the box to be used later in the show but it was moved by a stage hand after the last audience member left the stage then out pops teller.

That's right, spoil it why don't you:(
Crinkly, are they still doing that routine? We saw them the first year they started at Rio and they did it then. Talk about lack of imagination. It must be mind numbing for them to be doing the same stuff for the last 10 years, but I guess the money helps.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.
  • Well I won't be needing to do a trip report at the end if I keep this up. Went to Subway at Casino Royale for b/fast today, then down to the Palazzo pool for almost 2 hours. Then drove down to Henderson and had lunch at GVR. 2/1 LVA coupon, about $16 total I think for both of us.

Then drove along Stephanie, stopping at shops along the way, then over to Galleria. Called Gaetano's from there and went there for dinner ($40 for $20 groupon) at 830pm. Really nice, we went there last year on a groupon deal as well, the food is good. Then drove back and down to the Palazzo casino. Drinks service on the ordering slots good initially then went wrong with my third drink. Bit unreliable.

Am I the only one who doesnt get excited about seeing illusionists.

I watched them on TV and one of the illusions they did was easy to spot how it was done which spoilt it of course..the rest werent though

Illusionists have never really appealed to me much either, but after seeing them on TV, I really like how they come across, they seem really nice guys, and I like the way they present themselves, and I think Teller, even though he doesn't say anything is quite funny!

I'm actually surprised that my husband has agreed to go, as I didn't think it would be his kind of thing either.
  • another heads up, the Virgin Reward Seat sale has also just got underway... nothing for LV it seems, but good prices (I thought?) for other US destinations - that is if you can get the dates you want!

Hooked on myvegas now! Ran out of chips after ages of playing. Got nearly 3000 gold coin-things, just not sure what to do with them...haha. I'm now scraping around for free coins.

Not really a spoiler, it's obvious someone was coming out the box sometime. I don't think they'll spot how it's done, even knowing when it's coming.

Gold coins are what you want, change them for meals/ hotel stays etc

I find it mind numbing, stick it on auto play on the farm game as that seems to require the least interaction. In the month since we got back from Vegas  I've amassed about 6,000 gold coins. Keeping them for our second trip, though nothing booked yet.

Well, no sunbathing today for us. Went out earlyish to Red Rock for b/fast and then through red rock to bonnie springs out towards blue diamond. Was quite fun/different. We went a few years back but red rock was on fire and it was closed. It was very quaint but worth a visit if you like animals and getting close to them.

Onto shops at Canyon Pointe, North Rainbow, then Walmart etc. Back to Palazzo, got ready and down to happy hour at Grand Lux. Then stopped briefly at casino bar (happy hour till 8), then over to Mirage for buffet. Quite disappointed and so was Kevin. They had fairly little veggie stuff. Salad was selected and tossed by a 'chef'. Tried some other stuff and food very salty, including the pizza. I don't salt my food much at home so I am maybe sensitive to salt - but Kevin also thought it was qiuite salty. Sadly the nachos and pico de gallo were the best for me....not really an item I'd expect to call the best on a buffet. I guess this shows we all have different tastes in food..

Over to Samba for a Caipirinha, then back to Palazzo and had some success on the drinks service. I think it must be patchy.

    Really tired now.

Oh Lesley, I'm so sorry the Mirage buffet wasn't up to much for you :( Hope you have better luck with your other meals :)
