Lesley I know you have been busy doing all these reports, thanks
Did I miss a reply to what you thought of Terry fator, we were rolling about laughing
Sorry, if you asked I think maybe I missed the question.
It was really funny, however there was a bit in the middle with Elvis and a stutter and I found it dragged a bit at that point. I was also feeling really tired so that wouldn't have helped, and the show did pick up again after that. Yes, it was great fun. I liked the turtle puppet.0 -
Am I the only one who doesnt get excited about seeing illusionists.
I watched them on TV and one of the illusions they did was easy to spot how it was done which spoilt it of course..the rest werent though
I like illusionists but overall I prefer more close-up magic...when we saw Lance Burton that's what was super impressive to me...when he's right there in front of us and doves are popping out all over...moreso than the big illusions. My hubby is really good at figuring out how things are done, me not so much.
My favourite trick at P&T was the goldfish for similar reasons (though hubby told me how he thinks it's done). I get bored by the this person goes in the box abracadabra ANOTHER PERSON IS IN THE BOX AND THE ORIGINAL PERSON IS WAY OVER THERE OMG! tricks very quickly...it's why I was a bit meh about Nathan Burton.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
Oh Lesley, I'm so sorry the Mirage buffet wasn't up to much for you
Hope you have better luck with your other meals
Not at all, not to worry. We did have a 2/1 so it really was fine for the price....it just goes to show that depending on what sort of food people like they will have different buffet preferences too.
We have had lots of nice food so far, and still have another week to go. Wynn was delicious but expensive, GVR was really good and cheap, Orleans I find passable but great value. We are thinking where to go for b/fast (by car) this morning. Possibly Palace Station as we actually enjoyed their b/fast last year (especially with LVA 2/1 coupon).
Tonight we're going to Wine Wald at Town Square so we'll go for champagne brunch first. Maybe at The Bellagio. So it will be b/fast then pool after 10. Maybe do some packing in between as we move to Platinum tomorrow. Can't believe our holiday is about halfway done....however it seems like a lifetime ago when we flew over and arrived at the Orleans. I think staying at different hotels makes your trip feel longer. :rotfl:0 -
just looking at rooms via Total Rewards and notice that the references to the South Tower at Bally's have now all been replaced by 'Jubilee'...so there are North Tower rooms and 'Jubilee' rooms...looks like they have or are in the process of renovating the South Tower.
It's interesting as the ST has better views and is slightly better placed for access...but the rooms, based on the images on their website, are uuuuugly to me.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
I quite like the look of them rooms actually, but then again, I like that modern retro kind of look!0

Paris buffet back on Groupon - lunch or dinner for 2 with a bottle of wine for $43.99 (dinner) $34.99 (lunch) (Limited quantity, it says, so could sell out at some point).

Can anyone tell me how to reprint out myvegas vouchers please. The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0

I must admit I am suffering from an odd problem - not post, but pre-holiday blues lol!
I just can't seem to get motivated to get the rest of the trip booked up - we want to go see some NBA in LA on the Monday before we come back but aside from that I still have 6 days worth of the holiday to sort out.
I suspect my lack of motivation has stemmed from a business trip coming in which means I land back into the UK from LA at 13:00 on the Thursday and have to fly back out to the US for a week 9 am on the Saturday - that's going to be a whole world of horrible jet-lag.0 -
I think that would actually end up meaning you'd be set for your second trip to the US - you won't be back here long enough to readjust to the time change before you're back on US PST.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0
