We stayed there in Sept 2011 and are going back this Sept unless somewhere else turns up cheaper ( £560 inc resort fee for 11 nights), we love the place (I know many dont) and have never had problems with kids. (dont eat in the buffet though - that is awful)
We had room 14203 on the corner facing NYNY / MGM, we had booked a King but was offered the room view if we took two Queen beds - glad we did, the view was superb.
We had 42' plasma not that we watched it but tbh not sure if thats tower 1 or 2.
Only problem we had in 2011 was they kept shutting one of the pools on odd days, not sure why as the pool area was always busy (not packed)

We went to the original Vegas Wet & Wild back in 1997 in August, it was so hot you could not walk anywhere on the rubberised floor as it was burning your feet within 50 yds

I haven't been on this thread for a while, I do pop in from time to time and thought I'd have a peek today since I am off to Vegas next week :j

It will be my eighth visit :o and I think someone in an earlier post got it spot on when they said they love just 'being' in Vegas, for the atmosphere and the sense of fun.

OH and I want to visit lots of other places in the USA, and we have done a few, but keep coming back to Vegas. I find it much cheaper than trips to other US destinations I've looked at.

Anyway this time we're staying at PH - 4th time there and I know not everyone rates it but we've always had great service there and the location is perfect, plus this time we got a great deal with a free room upgrade and $9 each credit per day for breakfast at Starbucks (not loads I know, but enough for coffee and a pastry).

I can't wait!! Anyway I have a question - has anyone been to see Rock of Ages at the Venetian yet? i know it's relatively new to Vegas, just wondered if anyone had caught it yet?

Just 1 thing with Excalibur though - the free internet (in resort fee so not really free) is wired not wifi. so a bit useless if you only take an ipad ect.

Based on that description probably Tower II which is the only tower we have ever stayed in and it was always just fine - though it's been many years now for us.

Property map here (courtesy of the link Triker dug up - I am soo happy to have this back!) - top right part of the map.

We only had an issue with kids once at Excalibur and then it was incredible how many were around - it was during US school holidays that time...stayed there several times in the early to mid 2000s and every other time it was no different than most as far as we could tell.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

Thanks :) Do you know if you have to go at a set time or is the flair show always happening? Also, can you remember how much drinks were to buy (roughly)? From what you've said, maybe one voucher between four will be enough and we can just buy a couple of extra ones to even things out if needed :)

I don't actually know about the hours - we just rocked up and the bartender told us to stick around to the top of the hour when the show would be happening. I have a feeling it might be every hour. You could email them to check though http://kahunaville.com/# Website says the party bar hours are 7AM to 3AM for what it's worth.

Roughly, I think the cocktails were about $10-$15 depending on what you had and how big it was. Don't quote me on that though! I couldn't have drunk more than two, personally, and I did feel a bit squiffy after that despite not finishing the last one off! I am a bit soft though ;)

    Hi,

I'm going to Vegas for a week at the end of February and i'd really like to see Penn & Teller at the Rio when i'm there. Travelzoo have a $50 offer on at the moment but i'm wondering if tickets are available at the 2for1 kiosks on The Strip for a bigger saving.

Does anyone have any experience of this?

    Thanks.

There are always offers for Penn & Teller.

Last time I got a 2 for 1 offer however this was through the Flamingo GO coupon book (I imagine most CET properties provide this offer) that I received on check-in, however there are always offers around.

    It's a great show too.

    Thanks for this,

I'm staying at the Flamingo actually so I think i'll hold fire. Loved the TV show they did over here with Jonathon Ross so can't wait to see what the live show entails.
