We stayed at the Flamingo Nov 2012 and had a FAB room overlooking Serendipity(Caesers) and I can honestly say there was no noise at all.The only pain was the walkway outside IP that leads round to Harrahs. It was the 3rd time we have been since 2008and I feel that they keep updating and modernizing all areas and it has a really good feel about it. Had a lovely surprise today,I looked at our booking form for Mirage in June(OH booked it)and saw that we get 2free show tickets,am just hoping its for LOVE not Terry Fator!!Although its just nice to have something for free(very mse!!)

    Cool re:noise.

I have seen LOVE twice, its excellent. I hope it's the tickets you want and enjoy the show. :)

If its the same offer i'm looking at, my understanding is you have a choice of shows from these:

    - Zarkana by Cirque Du Soleil
    - Love by Cirque Du Soleil
    - KA by Cirque Du Soleil
    - Criss Angel Believe from Cirque du Soleil
    - Zumanity, The Sensual Side of Cirque du Soleil
    - Brad Garrett's Comedy Club
    - Terry Fator: Ventriloquism in Concert
    - Tournament of Kings

Once you've booked your hotel, you're supposed to go here www.mgmresorts.com/tw to book your tickets (I think)

We used one of these vouchers last June, although we only bought one voucher for our party of four. The drinks were fine (some very VERY strong though), the show was great (juggling bottles etc). It was very loud and they're big on audience participation. The staff are very used to seeing these vouchers and they knew immediately what it was for and took quite a while explaining to us how it worked and what we could and couldn't have.

Thanks :) Do you know if you have to go at a set time or is the flair show always happening? Also, can you remember how much drinks were to buy (roughly)? From what you've said, maybe one voucher between four will be enough and we can just buy a couple of extra ones to even things out if needed :)

Going to contact them tomorrow because I think we have a limited time to do it.Probably going to choose LOVE but I really like KA aswell, although wasn't fussed on Zumanity.OH loves Brad Garrett and we have seen him twice before, once with Ray Ramano which I would defo recommend.

Have just read that on VA they now have Seat Plus, where you can buy an extra seat next to you.Cost:£99/£199.I would love this, knowing you can stretch out a bit with an empty seat between me and OH,but cost wise is it worth it??the other thing is availability, every Virgin flight I've been on to LV is always fully booked!!

agree - I think on that particular route there being any Seat Plus option will be quite limited for this reason...for £99 to buy the middle seat of 3 would be well worth it to us - figuring 10 hour flight time that £5/hour each to be able to spread out a bit more - turn to the side a bit when the people in front inevitably recline their seats as far as possible right into our knees...but I don't expect we will ever get the chance to try it. :)
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

When you work it out like that,it's worth every penny,oh at least we can dream!!

You may well be right about the noise levels now, that was just the first thing that popped up when I googled noise at Flamingo due to Linq.

Just think it a good idea to check out before booking for this year, although I cant remember without looking when the Linq is due to open

I think the Linq is end of 2013??

I'll be staying at the Flamingo (comped) in June...so hopefully they'll be working further down the road by then or I'm at the side away from it :p

Savings are gearing up now for me and should have my target of £3k for the end of April  going to be a crazy 2 weeks like always.

i hope WetnWild is open as planned on Memorial wkend (24th May), as i plan on going there on 29th or 30th !!!
Not sure if Cowabunga will open same time ? be nice if it does!!!

Any readers stayed at the Excalibur within the last 2 years ??
Curious as to the rooms, am hearing that Tower 2 is the refurbed building, and Tower 1 is the old worn out looking rooms in the building ???
I booked via expedia, so room description states "2 queen beds, 42" plasma telly, etc etc"....
Have seen on tripadvisor some photos of people rooms, but they have oldskool CRT tellys....
Makes me think those pictures relate to a room in Tower 1 ???
