I didn't realise you were also staying at Platinum. We only arrive at Platinum the day before you leave, and with it being a Sunday we're likely to head out for brunch in the afternoon if we get checked in on time.
Can't be long until you leave now, is it this weekend? I'm really excited about Vegas this year. :j
We set out this Friday... i'm still refusing to believe it till I'm on board the plane - will have to start packing soon tho
Keep an eye out for us at the pool... we'll definitely have no catheter bags! - failing that, i'll keep an eye out for you in the bar - we're usually propping it up by the end of happy hour!
edit: if you haven't already, sign up for the Border Grill VIP club (free email newsletter thingy), and they'll send you a BOGOF entree voucher valid for 3 months... pretty certain it can be used for their brunch, though can't confirm it till i've tried

The prices below are all in, including resort fee for the dates we're going, even with cashback and booked locally in £ I am pretty sure these prices can't be beat...especially the MGM suites seem crazy cheap...prices are for four nights, check in Monday to check out Friday (as we're off to the Grand Canyon and staying in a hotel up there on the Friday).
MGM Grand
Grand King - $483.84 - n/a
Grand King Strip View - $501.76 - n/a

Tower Spa Suite - $542.08 - 694sq
Treasure Island

Deluxe Strip View - $481 - 400sq
Petite Suite - $642.76 - 630sq
Tower Suite - $750.28 - 930sq
Mirage

One Bed Suite/Balcony - $592.25 - 950sq
So thoughts peeps?, currently the MGM is in the lead (as its a stonking deal for a suite I think...) - but don't want to miss out on something similar as an alternative...or with that MGM deal am I on the money?
TIA
Do you have the room rates per night without the resort fees and tax added?
I appreciate that it is easier for budgeting as a first timer to have the total, but those of us who are regulars tend to recognise the basic rate better, or at least I do. We know the resort fee and tax that will be added.
That looks like a good rate for the MGM suites. Where did you find that rate?
The only difference between the Executive King and the Tower Spa is that the Spa has a bigger bathroom with a huge jacuzzi bath. The bathroom in the EK isn't exactly small.0 -
Which works usually everywhere except Caesars Palace where the basic room is in the Bedstains Tower.
Works tremendously at the Venetian where the basic room is one of the best rooms in a hotel that I have ever stayed in.
Agreed and that is why I said "usually" and not "always" as I was thinking about Caesars Roman tower.0 -
I'm seriously thinking about booking tickets for Terry Fator now, watched a video on youtube he looks really funny. Anyone seen this show?
We have seen him twice, although not for a couple of years. We thought both shows were really funny. You can now get tickets really cheap on Travelzoo compared to what they used to cost.0 -

Don't have them to hand without unfortunately - the rate is from a smarter vegas discount code, but the low cost USA rate wipes the floor with it - going to give them a call in the morning and find out a bit more.
The mirage, as a hotel gets a much better rating from visitors, really quite tempted by that, especially if lcu can offer the price they list online...0 -
I've looked, but they are so cheap - I mean even the above are mostly from the smarter vegas rates.
The MGM is throwing up $507 for an executive king suite but low cost use is throwing up $357 equivalent.
Something really doesn't seem right with lowcostusa prices, they just seem far too cheap. I don't want to ring to be told ahh no, actually that price has just changed....It just can't be lol.
Says it includes all taxes and fees too - $357 is just too cheap lol
Sorry I'm just working my way through today's posts so haven't read further than this if there are other replies.
I have also booked through lowcostusa. Their prices are low as they have a 4th night free offer even though it doesn't say so on their website. I have used them before, but I also thought the price might be different when I called them. It wasn't so I booked.
Once you have a confirmation then they can't change the price. I called the MGM a couple of days later to make a request and they confirmed that they had the booking.0 -
Forgot to add. I found a wraparound suite at the Cosmo for my brother which was more than $200 cheaper than any other site.0

Lol - we leave Platinum on 9th... So close!
As for Terry Fator. I am really hard to please, unbelievably so. ( I think the Hover Dam is quite small in real life) I loved Penn and Teller on the TV but live I thought they were quite poor and boring.
So don't take too much notice of me if other peeps think he was good. Now the only act in Vegas I would pay to see again is Carrot Top.
Lesley, we will be the ones by the pool sipping home brew cocktails THROUGH catheters. The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0
