I love processed food, and you cant get more processed than Kraft Mac&Cheese. Some of the package stuff isn't as orange as Kraft which says to me there must be too much goodness in them. The more orangy (is that a word?) the better I say.
I also buy lots of Crystal Light drink powder, the lemonade and ice tea flavours. I went a bit overboard last trip so sold a load on Ebay, knocking the pants off of the price of the competition and making a tidy profit as well. The stuff is $2.50 for a tube and people were selling it for £6
Dont know what it is but if theres a profit in it I may have to have a look in our regular Walmart trip :T0 -
Totally agree with your points regarding kids. However, i'm due to fly out on Sunday, to celebrate my 40th next Friday
. It will be me and my 4 kids aged 20,16,14 and 5. I'm slightly worried regarding the older two now, lol. The things we have planned are:
Skyzone,
valley of fire,
overnight grand canyon,
mob museum,
score at the luxor,
recycled percussion,
Springs preserve,
childrens lied museum,
madame tausauds,
cars museum at the quad,
exposition park,
ferrari cars exhibit-can't remember where
dolphin habitat
adventure dome
outlets-primm, north,south
galleria mall and two others
wet'nwild
Eiffel tower
Stratosphere observation deck
general walking of the strip
3 days in LA
Possibly a sun buggy tour
Possibly paddle boating in a lake mead resort
We are staying at the Signature and will use the MGM pool, although we are not really pool people. Do you think I stand a chance of not having a repeat of Orlando last year? They all looked like they were off to the dentist every time we went to Disney world :eek:although to be fair they did go there quite a bit when they were younger, before we went elsewhere.
My eldest chose not to come on that one. I assumed he wouldn't want to on this one. He claims as it's my special birthday he make an effortHe is a photographer by trade, so I'm hoping he'll be happy with the many photographic opportunities he will find.
I don't drink, or gamble, so we are all hoping to get the same out of everything. Also, how was the parking at wet'nwild and what did you all think of it?
We have been before, but when they were much younger (not the 5 year old though). We were also only there for two days as a side trip from Anaheim. This time, vegas is the main part and although LA is booked, we are slightly unsureif we will go-it's all refundable till the day before.
Thanks
You've quite clearly done plenty of research on what you are going to do:)
Im sure your 20 yr old knows that he can't drink or gamble but as you don't maybe he doesn't either? It's just that my son loves his music and really wanted to go to the clubs to see all the guest DJ's, obviously he can't do this at home as he is only 15 but Vegas seemed to rub it in his face with all the big adverts on the side of MGM. I offered to pay for his trip when he is 21....why did I do that? I have no idea!
I didn't go to the waterpark as my youngest broke his wrist before we went so chose not to go. Husband said parking was easy but can't remember how much it was. It does tell you on the website. they do a dive in movie on a Friday night which sounded fun.
Im sure you will have a great time and happy 40th!0 -
Blondies has popped up on Groupon today for me - voucher valid for 90 days. There's some 'drink only' options, but also a $15 for $30 voucher option to:

I'm not sure I'm going to be after the mac cheese, but I'm going to have a look for cake mixes - I bet they have some good ones.0 -

Lol, I was just looking into that there myself! :rotfl: Interestingly they do cocktail mixes too
Are we going to turn into Mac Cheese fanatics instead of laundry...which notably hasn't been mentioned for a while. I started packing toiletries today by the way and have my travel was all ready to go! Apologies to those who are outside Scotland, but this might give you a laugh. Scotland has a mac cheese appreciation club, they run events where they have several flavours. Some of you would rather enjoy https://www.facebook.com/MacNCheeseSMAC
On another note, I have about £130 in tesco vouchers. Can anyone advise if they are worth using for Avios? We have only flown with BA once, would fly with them again, but we would also need to donate US airways miles to keep our miles active if we used another airline.
These are almost 2 years worth of Tesco vouchers. Otherwise will be used at Prezzo or days out or similar. I quote they are 2 years worth in case I'm too low a Tesco point collector to make this worthwhile. Usually about £12 or so a time I get in the post from Tesco.0 -

Betty Crocker Angels food cake mix. Sara Lee Pecan cake. Betty Crocker frosting in a tub!!!The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0 -

Funnily the best return I get is buying Foley Catheters. Don't ask how I got into it, but you just can't get them here unless a doctor gets them for you. Anyway I go to a medical store on Sahara and buy 300 of them at $2 each. Sell them on Ebay at £6 + delivery and the get bought in bunches of 10-20 at a time. I also buy surgical needles and sell them as well. Again you don't want to know how I got into this. :eek:The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. Hmmm...very unsure if this is a joke. Obviously I'll go check ebay and see if anyone is listing them haha. What I am obviously wondering though is why would anyone need them if a doctor doesn't think they need them? I think you're maybe having a laugh...just to see who brings home a case full of catheters :rotfl:0
