Hi, I have 3 rewards :
1 Bellagio buffet
2 dolphin habitat tix
2 Adventure dome tix
I have a Mlife account.
Do I simply go with the Mlife number and redemption codes to the Mlife counter and redeem, in the relevant hotels? I have emails for two of the rewards, but cannot find the email for the adventure dome @ circus circus. Thanks.:A Your Always in my heart, you never ever will be forgotten-9/9/14:heart2:0 -

I would go further and say no one should ever book Y for long haul full stop!;)
My first ever long haul flight was on maxjet and that gave me the urge to travel more widely and to travel business (or first).
I hear you on that one:TThe common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0 -

Thanks Stuie, :T I don't actually have the Mlifecard. I do have an account though. I thought It would be like the dollar express ones that you can print off, but no. Will I be able to get one in Vegas?
Also I remember in your report, you mentioned you didn't bother with LA. Was there any particular reason/ Thanks:A Your Always in my heart, you never ever will be forgotten-9/9/14:heart2:0 -
Oh pleeeaaaaase guys !!
Can we return to the real world !! Stop willy waving your gold cards
I'm a huge advocate in using FF miles and have at one time or another held gold/plat etc status with most of the airlines who fly to the US .....and introduced several readers on here to the AA challenge and status matching........ Using miles for economy is usually not the BEST value but not always. Especially for those who can't justify the cost of a trip unless there's a free air ticket in there !
To some a trip is unthinkable in "the back of the bus" to others the chance of an extra trip makes the absence of a bigger seat and a bit of champers very do-able as the point of the trip is what you see and do once there - not how you get there !!
If I had more disposable income - yes I'd probably blow it on a bit of indulgence flying (but not at the expense of the "ground arrangements") but I don't so you can turn your noses up at me using miles to make a trip possible in the dreaded economy and "pity" me for "wasting miles" I'll be too busy enjoying my holiday to care
(Yes I've travelled in all three classes transatlantic at one time or another and of course I got a kick out of "and would you like a shot of vodka with your caviar Ms Duchy" and the extra comfort.......but I'd rather travel than forgo a trip because it's in the "wrong" cabin)
Never is a long time .... I first flew transatlantic first class at the tender age of eighteen (for free but not with miles) If I'd said "I can't possibly fly cattle class again "....I'd have missed out on a heck of a lot of travelling over the years !
:rotfl: Well said duchy! I didn't understand what was being said about 'booking y' anyhow, you can tell that I've never flown anything other than economy can't you?!0 -
.
My favorite thing was the build your own mac & cheese station - pick your additions (various meats, veggies, etc), types of cheese, etc. and they made it fresh in front of you...that was some good, good stuff...but I am biased toward macaroni & cheese in general.
You and me both. I have a cupboard full of Kraft Mac and cheese from WalmartThe common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. I completely agree with you but my stupid husband is the exact oppositehe would rather not go on a long haul holiday if he had to fly Economy. We are lucky in that he travels a lot for work (well, it is lucky in some ways, not so much in others!) so gets loads of air miles and we also have a BA Amex and spend enough to get a companion voucher each year, which tends to take care of flying Business or First on our summer holidays.
However, I would love a break at Christmas and we would be able to afford New York (I have never been in winter and am desperate too, though he goes a few times most winters for work so I suppose it is less exciting) but only if we flew economy. So he won't do it! He would literally rather not go on holiday than fly economy
I am totally with you on this one Duchy and wish my husband would see sense!0 -

We flew 3 times in upper with Virgin but they were all done by accumulating miles with many many trips down the back, and in the bubble.
Now I collect Avios using Mr. T, I have bought and sold phones, dongles and ink cartridges. I am at present collecting V3 cards and churning those. I have 4 Amex cards and so does Tracy, all with good sign up bonuses.
I have also realised that sticking to one brand is essential if you want the little extras. And all this allows me to go in a bit more comfort but at the same price or less than you pay for economy.
Do we go less to Vegas now , yes, but that is more to do with spacing trips out and avoiding the cold months.
