So you can claim the reward ages before, but then wait until you are within the 90 day window to call to book?

No, you claim the reward and then book it within 90 days of claiming it. Regardless of travel dates.

I claimed my hotel reward in January and called the redemption line that day and booked for my trip in October. This only applies for hotel rooms and shows.

Picked up from elsewhere, but just in case people miss it, a new link for 1000 'gold coins' for MyVegas:

    https://apps.facebook.com/playmyvegas/Coupon/mgm/L3K18J?cpn&kt_tu=Partner&kt_st1=mv_mlem&kt_st2=ml_inst_all&kt_st3=1000_20130808

This has triggered me to start playing.

Is there a guide for beginners. All I do is click auto spin and collect whatever it offers. The red and gold coins are rising but I don't have a clue what I'm doing.

has anyone ever seen the Monte Carlo food credit reward available on MyVegas? I kind of like the idea of that one as it doesn't seem to have a minimum spend.

Beginner's luck meant I got the 2 Aria dinner buffets today, it did take a few refreshes for them to pop up but I was expecting many failed attempts and a bit of swearing.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

PH buffet has been garbage for years yet they still advertise it as the No1 buffet in Vegas. Breakfast is barely passable, but lunch and dinner are dire.

Yes we kept trying it as the reviews said otherwise, and I had a $5 off coupon, but it's not even worth that. In fact I think it was around $15 for breakfast last time we tried and this year it had rocketed to $22 or 23.

Just saw an offer on Groupon for the Spice Market Buffet, $26 for two people for breakfast which includes two glasses of champagne, not really sure I'd want champagne in the morning, but anyhow! Am tempted to buy a coupon, but I'm not so sure now? Buffets probably aren't that much use to us tbh, we not really have big appetites. Definitely want to try the Aria one though!

    Thanks for posting.

Interesting that you found first class so much better than business - we flew business both ways and on the return were on the upper deck (747?) and were very impressed with the crew and the quietness of the cabin. I am assuming that you don't have more than a bronze or blue card with BA so you were v lucky to get the flights??

Truely impressed with the hotel price you paid. We paid something like £600 for 4 nights in the Venetian in a room with strip view.

We did wonder how much the cabins cost, but decided that the extra spend didn't justify it.

    Great review, thanks for posting!

The daybed at MGM Grand looks pretty good, might have to do that when we go!

Your status has no influence on what flights you can get. Availability is the same for all cards except GGL where you can get on any flight that has spare capacity (for a hefty chunk of Avios though)
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

BA's old First Class isn't worth the money - its not even close to Virgin's Upper Class in terms of in flight experience imo.

BA's Club World is a tricky one, they have too many seats, too close together for the experience to feel special.

BA's premium offerings simply feel boring in comparison with other airlines, they need to take a bit more risk.

Even the World Traveller on the new A380 has small seats - 18.5" width - VA has 21" seats in PE - we tend to take PE when going direct from the UK as the tax is so punishing - sometimes we upgrade the return if we're able to get a good deal at the airport.

I remember the Spice Market Buffet being a really good buffet. Last time we went to it though it had moved - temporarily though during the Aladdin-Planet Hollywood changes. On that occasion we only had breakfast, and it was ok because it had decent fresh fruit which I like, but I've unfortunately recently only heard people saying it's not like it used to be. The groupon deal would seem like a good price, but it's not really getting the ratings.

I like Harrah's buffet (for what it is, I realise it's not Wynn/Bellagio standard), and the groupon deal for there is quite good. The reason I like it might be partly down to large salad bar, pasta station, and limited desserts. I'm quite sweet toothed, but trying not to be, so a limited dessert selection, especially with small portions of dessert is sort of a plus point. :rotfl:

I've got a LVA Mirage 2/1, otherwise I'd be hoping for the groupon deal to appear back for that.

I'd suggest keeping an eye out for other groupon buffet deals, unless of course you have been at Planet Hollywood buffet lately and still like it.
