Finally booked Ringo Starr for our first night in November (Sat 23rd) Hopefully we'll sleep on the flight from London.

Also booked Rod Stewart earlier this week for Sunday 24th, Caesars only just recently released dates.

Last but by no means least we've also booked Justin Timberlake for Friday 29th which was Mrs McPs choice I hasten to add!

To think this was meant to be a Xmas shopping trip.....

Possibly room for one more show - plenty of time yet !

    Re Walmart and other shops;

I bring back cake mixes especially the Supermoist Betty Crocker http://www.walmart.com/browse/baking/baking-mixes/976759_976780_1001368/?_refineresult=true&povid=cat976780-env250557-moduleB122012-lLinkFC2BakingMixes

I also but the cake sprinkles as they have some lovely and unusual one.

Chipotles and any other peppers (dried) I can find.

I also head to the pharmacy and buy things like painkillers and other medications that you simply cannot buy over the counter here like antibiotic cream. Also Cresta White Strips (still haven't used them!).

    Old bay seasoning.
    Fritos...I love 'em.

I'd bring more but need a bigger bag allowance and we've been travelling light lately.:(

I also stock up for my daughters, anything Wonka, Pop Tarts, Big Red Chewing Gum, Swedish fish, any of that kind of stuff...:D

Have you been to Its Sugar in Venetian.

They have the largest box of Nerds and various other large candy, ie enormous gummy bears etc

One thing I love to stock up on as well as cake mixes ect, is liquid smoke! It's a liquid seasoning, that gives meat ect a really nice flame bbq taste. I'm also addicted to Airhead chews :D I'm worse than the kids :D

Thanks :) My son is the complete opposite to me regarding drink, lol, but he knows in the US it's a no, no ;) I actually forgot about the music side :o Oh well :D

An awful lot of not yet 21s get a big shock in the US assuming that like here you have to look young to get carded and are not happy to discover how strong the enforcement is. They just don't believe it happens. I wish we did it the same way. We are just nuts . My 21 year old who does look young has no problem buying a drink but can't buy a lighter or a razor without ID ....nuts.

I love going in its Sugar, but have you felt the weight of one of the giant jelly bears, its probably half of your luggage allowance!!I always stock up on Reeces( even bought the giant ones last year!!), pop tarts, wonkas.I love Walgreen for stocking up on all medications and creams. We only went to Walmart once in Vegas and it was a disaster.I had ordered some baby stuff online and looked for my nearest one to the Bellagio and arranged to pick it up from there. We decided to go as soon as we arrived as it was done then,so jumped in a taxi told him which Walmart it was to which he said if you like I wiil take you back as I need to run in for something aswell.Gets to this Walmart runs to the very back of this giant store to pickups only to be told he had brought me o the wrong one!!OH was furious and taxi drivers says no that one is closed, but I said just take me there- and it was open, collected my stuff and $50 later was finally back at Bellagio- I dare not even mention going now as it still peeves him!!

When we went to Florida and we always have a car there,he thought I was crazy when one evening being very bored I asked him to drop me off at Walmart and only collect me 2 hours later- it was bliss- and yes a full shopping trolley later -panicking about how to get it all home!!Talking of cake mixes,in my large haul was 3 boxes of. rainbow cake mix, yummy!!I also love Cinnibon, which you can get at the back of Casino Royal in the little food court, the cinnimon sticks with a tub of frosting( butter cream) are too die for and again can only get in America.
  • There's a place just inside NYNY where you can buy all those giant candy things as well (at the entrance where the bridge to MGM goes from).
