Hovis! I'm going for my second trip this year (not moneysaving lol) in November! I love November time - cheap all round and party central. Boys trip this one!

Just discovered this thread as I'm sitting in my hotel room in the Venetian here in Vegas.

Last leg of our tour, started in LA then went up the coast via Big Sur, Cambria, Monterey, San Francisco, Yosemite, Death Valley.

Flew with BA using Avios, but didn't realise there was so much saving on hotels. Went to a show last night having bought tickets at the discount booth. Thought I was doing well, obviously I have a lot too learn.

This will be our 10th visit and our 4th time in Oct/Nov. We have only once had some bad weather and it bounced down with rain and felt pretty cool aswell!! I like to go in June and then later on if possible so that I can get my Xmas shopping done( I convince my OH that we are saving lots of money this way- he doesnt know how much I really spend, but he doesnt put up much of a fight over it either!!!!)

We are staying at TI this time (we have stayed here before) I love the fact that I'm only a short bridge away from Fashion Show Mall and handy for Walgreens too!!From what I remember last time the beds and pillows were fabulous, the best we have ever stayed in!!

I agree - we really like TI - their beds and pillows are great (I would rank Encore as the best though) much nicer than at some of the other places we like...I really like the place overall...we've booked our last 4 nights for October as hubby got a good offer...we have since had offers for 2 nights each at Cosmo but are going to stick with TI as we didn't stay there last trip...while Cosmo would no doubt be the 'better' hotel, I just really like the feel of TI so I'm happy we're going with it...we're staying at Bally's our first 5 nights so will be nice to move to a different part of the strip too.

I think we'll just miss you - we'll be checking out of TI a couple days before you check in...we'll leave some good Vegas vibes for you. :)
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

just booked our hire car for October picking up at TI and dropping off at the airport and all was OK on rentalcars.com website - though thinking about it I did scroll down to find the package that included a tank of fuel (habit to do it that way) rather than adding it as an extra.

I can't believe it is still so far away - I hope time speeds up between now and then!

Just giggled to myself remembering the last time we stayed at TI.On our first night we arrived shattered so decided to have a nap,our room was on the side of the battleships, need I say more!!! The sound of gunfire had my OH diving out of bed thinking there was some gang style shootings outside our room!!!!

If you added the fuel, check that your booking stayed as Treasure Island. Not sure if you were reading the other week when I posted about an issue I was having with their website that was changing it to Airport collection when I added the fuel. I ended up having to book over the phone. It was Carhire3000, but that is the same company as Rentalcars.com (that's the name on my voucher).

We stayed at TI years ago and also liked it. We had a quiet room though, no gunfire while trying to sleep :rotfl:

I agree with the person who said it's a great spot, location beside the Fashion Show Mall and also handy for Venetian, Palazzo etc.

Has anyone tried the new drink ordering system on the machines at Palazzo yet? Is it also available at The Venetian?

We go 4 weeks today T-28, very exciting!!! Staying at Orleans 1 night, Palazzo 4 nights, Venetian 2 nights, Platinum 6 nights. I'm also wondering - when we check in at Palazzo, might it be worth a try to see if they can just leave us at Palazzo for all 6 nights instead of moving to Venetian for the last 2? I don't mind really if we have to move, but it might be nice not to. Saying that, maybe we'll get some coupons when we check in...might be worth moving. We got a few coupons in the past, anyone know if they give any lately?
