I though the show was interesting overall - I don't think I really processed the scale of the operation of these places...I guess I knew that all this must go on but just kind of forgot about it. We agreed that we would like it to have been a 2 or 3 part series and maybe given more time to some of the people/roles they covered and added some more (cocktail waitresses, casino staff, etc) but also agree that the overuse of 'world's biggest' was a bit annoying...it did help us start to get excited for our upcoming trip.

The part about check-in - 600 guests an hour! SIX HUNDRED AN HOUR!
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

Ok so I'm 29 going for my 4th time later this year. My wife loved it and we did do the partying thing but a few months later my 70-yr old in laws decided to go haha! My father in law was offered a job in Sands yrs ago but had just moved to London from Italy in the 60s and mother in law didn't fancy another move. They stayed at the Venetian as that is the spot Sands used to be. They absolutely loved it out there.

    It really is for everyone!

My Mam just thinks its like a glorified Blackpool! :rotfl: She didn't really like it there, but actually, she doesn't really like travelling full stop!

How lovely that your inlaws stayed where the Sands used to be! Glad they had a brilliant time!

My MIL who is about to turn 78 very shortly, really wants to go too!

    I didn't realize it was a series
Watched it on 5 on demand this morning which I assume was last night's (the oven broke down). OH's face was a picture as he hadn't realized how busy Vegas gets.......but it at least distracted him as car was pinched from outside the house last night. Plate recognition obviously works as he reported it at 5.15am this morning and we just had a call from the Met saying they spotted and chased it and caught the little sods who are currently languishing in the cells <yay>

What defies logic is why they pinched it for a joyride -it's a KA for goodness sake LOL

Sorry to hear you got your car pinched :( But glad to hear they've found it, and even better, found the idiots that took it too!

Has your OH never been to Vegas before?

We watched it, the Sky box picked up on it and recorded it as its part of that worlds biggest series (let me skip all the ads as a result :) )

Must admit, having just booked our flights to LA for October last night we sat in awe at what was going on.

This will be our first visit to the west coast, never been to LA or LV...can't beleive I've got to wait 84 days till I get there tho.

Whoever mention myVegas slots first...yo owe me some of my life back - im trying to get as much rewards as I can now :D

You will thank that person in the end. We worked out that we had $1,200 worth of food and entertainment for nothing last trip. We did go for a long time, so managed to get six rewards in each.

We are at T-85!!Ive got 150k of lps to use on this trip up to now, going to try for Aria dinner x2 which is always sold out early and then maybe wait and see if some of the rewards that were on months ago( the deals for 2) come back on.
We are travelling with AA from Man to Chicago but flying with Iberia but withAA to Vegas. Our seats from Man are booked for us and when I've looked online there are lots of 2 seats on their own so that's ok.
Coming home we are BA to Heathrow and then Heathrow to Man.The good thing about this is the very generous hand baggage allowance of 23 kgs ,the crap thing is to book the double seat at the back is £50!
We are staying at TI this time (we have stayed here before) I love the fact that I'm only a short bridge away from Fashion Show Mall and handy for Walgreens too!!From what I remember last time the beds and pillows were fabulous, the best we have ever stayed in!!
