new restaurant.com code - today only (Offer valid until 11:59PM PST tonight, so I think that's is just before 8am tomrrow UK time) - code FOUR, $4 for $25 certificates...seems like one of the better codes for awhile, maybe?
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

Quite a few of the restaurants I'd want seem to have gone off there... I've done a zip code search against 89109 with a radius of 5 miles and the familiar selection no longer seem to be there (ie. Border Grill, Aureole etc) - any recommendations from anyone for anything else on-strip?

edit: scratch that - having looked through it, we've already been the following (one way or another):
    -StripBurger
    -Slice of Vegas
    -Hussongs
    -Fresh Bar & Grill
    -El Segundo Sol
    -House of Blues

I don't think that leaves anything else apart from Pampas and i'm not fussed by that! :/:(

    Hi all,

    Looking for some advice :

going to vegas with my GF (teacher) between the 26th of october and the 1st Nov (back to school on the 4th)

    Would the following be ok:

    26 October 2013 - Departure LHR 12:15 - Philadelphia
    PHL 15:30 - Stopover: 2h 29m -Las Vegas
    LAS 20:26

    1 November 2013 - Return - Las Vegas
    LAS 11:30 - Philadelphia
    PHL 19:21- London
    LHR 09:25 + 1 day
    Terminal 1
    Arrives on 2 November 2013

    This is in total :

    London to Las Vegas
    Sat 26/Oct/2013 - Fri 1/Nov/2013
    Return: Arrives on 2/Nov/2013.

    2 Tickets: 2 Adults
New York-New York Hotel & Casino
    Sat 26/Oct/2013 - Fri 1/Nov/2013
    1 Room: 6 nights

    Total: £1,563.10
    (Average Per Person £781.55)

When i look to book the flights separately the flights are coming up at over £900 so to me this is a bargain? Am i missing anything Major that would cause problems and my understanding is the Hotel is pretty central (noobies) so we just want to be central to get around and see as much as we can?

Can anyone pass on some advice :)

Does that include your resort fees and taxes and booking in of your luggage and meals on the aircraft? If so, then I'd say then yes, that seems a good deal. :)

The hotel is fairly central, it's at the South end of the strip. There are more central hotels, but that one is not bad at all. I just googled out of curiosity how long it would take to get to say Caesars Palace (that's a hotel me and the hubby love going to!) from NYNY and it said about 20-25 minutes with an average walking speed. There might even be a monorail or something near by there, I'm not sure, it's been 7 years since we were last there.

Will you dare go on the rollercoaster? Everytime we go the DH tries to get me to go on it....he's never succeeded yet! :rotfl:

The resort fee is $20's a night i think so $120 for the 6 days which is still way lower than the flights on there own.

The rollercoaster at NYNY? Is it really that good? We both love coasters so for sure we would go on any haha Bring them all on, speaking of which....theme parks? Any close by which are epic...i know of the stratosphere which are good i've heard :)

Your flight is US Airways (includes 23kg luggage and munchies).....
FLight stop in Philly is fine, gives u time to sample the food court (haha, god knows why I like that place so much!! :D:D )

Resort fee's suck! but cant avoid, unless your savvy!

And yes, the Coaster is awesome, unlike the rides we get over here, the coaster from start to finish lasts nearly 2 1/2 minutes!!!! and its great! and even better when you use the 2-4-1 vouchers too!

Everything else is included? The luggage book in and the meals?

I don't know if it's any good, maybe some of the braver people than me could tell you! :rotfl: I used to be ok (ish!) with rollercoasters, but as I get older, I get more and more scared of them. It's the first climb that really gets me, as I have a fear of heights.

There is also the http://www.adventuredome.com/ in Circus Circus. I've been on the Canyon Blaster a few times, that's full of corkscrews and loops.

How can you avoid the reort fees? Genuinely curious now! :p

I've heard a lot of people say that coaster is rough and you come off with loads of bruises?

Don't forget that bookings via. the TI website make the resort fee optional. I'm pretty certain Venetian and Palazzo are (or were!) optional resort fees too. As mentioned though, they're basically mandatory at every other strip hotel - as they're mostly MGM / CET (though sometimes I've had them knocked off for various reasons... usually when there is a complaint to be made, or through enough casino play)
