Motel 6??!! LOL, best avoided then.
Yes, I included the kids in the booking form which says 2 adults and 2 minors. That's how it's in the "affordable" bracket as most places are charging an extra $50 / night. This is through Bestofvegas.com
Thank you0 -
Ferf, you are right - I wanted to double check after you wrote that! I went through to the next screen an a mysterious extra $420 appeared. Some of that will be the resort fee but I'm sure the rest is extra person charges. It doesn't seem to give a breakdown.
Oh well, back to the drawing board.0 -
aw, I'm sorry...it does seem ridiculous to charge that much extra per night for 2 people let alone 2 children.
maybe split your trip - stay there 2 nights to satisfy hubby's desire?
though with 2 kids maybe splitting a 5-night trip would be a bit much.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
My fav quote from trip advisor forum - "It's not as daft a question as you might think. People we know met a couple from Wales who were on their last day and said that they were bored silly. When asked what they thought of various hotels they said they hadn't been into any of them as they weren't guests there. They had only been in their own hotel."
So yes, you can go in and out of them all.
Oh dear!!!"Don't sacrifice what you want most for what you want now"

What beds do you need for the kids, if they are sharing a double and you are in the other, then why not just book for 2 people and get a 2 queen room? I have done it many times, when taking our son.
If you need an extra bed for one of the kids, ie a rollaway, you can still book for 2 and on arrival ring housekeeping from the room and ask for a rollaway. I have also done that twice and not been charged for the rollaway.
If you book the forum tower apparently it is relatively easy to get an upgrade, but I havent tried.
Have you checked the friends and family rates for yor stay
Have you thought of just one or 2 nights at CP just to say you have stayed there
We have just stayed at CP becuase I always wanted to, in Augustus tower overlooking fountains.I posted a pic of the awesome view a few pages back...cant find it though0 -
Not good:( is that another place on your list of unsafe places.
we had a great 2 nights on freemont street a couple of weeks ago0 -

Thanks :T
Don't feel too sorry for us, we've got five nights at the Venetian first, then a night at the Grand Canyon, before these five nights. But I probably won't want to split that further to be honest; we are used to moving around a lot on holiday but that may be one move too far.0 -

2 queens would be fine for us. Isn't it a bit naughty to do that though?
I have checked the F&F and they were higher (weird) so I thought I'd found a good deal through BestofVegas.
I did see your picture and it was awesome!!!!0 -

I guess that depends on how you look at it. Your 2 kids are not going to add anything to the cost to the hotel...maybe a bit of extra cleaning for the maid (you can tip her).
people do it all the time in Vegas with or without kids...its not unheard of for 4 adults to be in the room but only 2 declared.
At the end of the day it is how you feel but as said I did it from when my son was 4 till he stopped going at 16 and we went most years0
