This might be a stupid question, but I'm planning to start playing MyVegas on Facebook, and I'm wondering about restrictions when it comes to redeeming the codes. I keep a separate FB account for games, partly so they don't clog up my news feed, but also so I don't get loads of random "neighbours" with access to my main account. However, the games profile is in a different name, using my middle name and previous surname. Would that cause a problem when I made any bookings?

It won't be a problem at all. The first time you redeem a "gift" for that facebook profile you give your !!!!!! number, Real name and email address. that then becomes the information linked to your account whatever the name is. I play for my dad on "Pebbles Vegas" and it worked fine. Dad doesn't do Facebook.

Also, very happy to receive friend requests for "Pebbles Vegas" from any MyVegas game players out there.

Hi, I'd happily do this, but how do you get around access to the pools in places like Mandalay Bay? Thanks

depends on ages of kids, most pools wont let kids in on their own so if accompanied by an adult with a key there isnt a problem.

alternatively ask for a spare key/s

Hi we are going to Vegas on the 11th august for about five nights and wondered if anyone has any recommendations. We are a family of six, two 17 year olds, 15 and 13. We would prefer to stay on the strip or close by and have looked at the Elara 2 bedoom suite which is coming in it £924 for the five nights not including WI FI? Does anyone know if this is a nice hotel? Anywhere I can get discounts? Thanks in advance

Mel

Have not stayed at the Elara but have also been looking there for August. We are a family of 4, children 15 and 11 yrs, I also need the 2 bed also as my boys wouldn't share a bed so would use the queen sofa in the lounge for one of them. Not sure how yours feel about sharing....

I like the location, I have stayed at Planet Hollywood a few times, the Elara entrance is onto the Miracle Mile shops,so a walk through and you're onto the strip. Have not found discounts for the hotel as its Hilton owned, I keep looking at their website but still quite expensive.

Have you considered Desert Rose? This is our other option, you get free WIFI, buffet/continental breakfast and starbucks coffee. This will save you some money. I would book a 1 bed and 2 bed here, you can find good prices too.

Quick update : didnt hear from travelocity so rang them up late monday evening, was told they will be in touch in 24-48 hours, yet still heard nothing, useless!!!!

Also Virgin flight seat map is available to view ( 90 days and 14 hours) yet everytimei try to assign a available seat it says its not available, anybody have any idea if this will change once the clock hits less than 90 days, assumed if the maps showing you could assign.

90 days and counting
For our summer flights it was available to book seats 90 days plus a couple of hours before.

We were looking for somewhere just off Strip for the weekend to avoid the craziness and Alexis Park ticked most boxes- however with kids that age I'd consider the Orleans -much more teen friendly than the Strip hotels -with a few things for them to do solo if you all need a breather from each other (send em bowling/cinema/arcade all on site). Two rooms (and the rooms are big) and I've never had a problem getting rooms together when needed there (unlike some Strip hotels where we've been floors apart or even towers).

MSE Florida wedding .....no problem

Anyone ever booked the Venetian ? and ever used there Best Rate Guarantee ?
My mate is going in August, staying at Venetian, i said to him to book direct (which costs sheds load more than Quickrooms.com), and got him to do the BRG, sent it off, but nothing come back, and not even a reply to his follow up email either!

Its almost like the hotels advertise 'Best Rate', yet when you query it, it falls on deaf ears, as i found out with 3 of the MGM hotels!

Did he send the correct form off and then use this email

reservations@venetian.com

for the follow up?

It is frustrating if all terms are adhered to, maybe worth ringing them
