Ive forgotten - whats the advantage of paying up front with CH3000 as opposed to just the deposit? And whats the phrase I should be looking for to have zero excess on the insurance?

It used to be paying up front meant that you can cancel and get your money back, just deposit = no free cancellation, don't know if that still applies though.
not sure about the phrase you are looking for
don't think they are on quidco or at least if they are I have been missing out every year, or is it that you can only claim for your first hire.....I don't know0 -
Doesn't paying up front also mean that if the price gets cheaper, they'll match it (or does that apply to all purchase options).
Do you mean you want zero excess for the likes of CDW etc?
Used to be on Quidco (as photome says, it was £7 for first ever booking), but looking at the MSE cashback checker, neither CH3000 or RentalCars appear on any of the cashback sites at the moment0 -
Yes total zero excess.....I cant be dealing with insurance complications in the USA.
eBookers is cheaper and they are on Quidco, so I might go with them.illegitimi non carborundum0 -

You need CDW (collision damage waiver). It is best to book with a UK site to ensure you have adequate insurance. We usually book with Netflights and take the Platinum Fully Inclusive option. This also gives you a full tank of fuel which saves a bit of hassle too, as it means you pick up the car full, and can return it empty without further charge. You can always refuel in between if you need more. I must admit I find it confusing in the US using the black fuel hose when it's the opposite here for normal fuel!0

Me too, and I only have 690 point/miles whatever they call them.;)The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0 -
Ok ok, I no longer have time for this forum since Tracy wanted me to start playing myvegas. I now spend all my spare time hunting down free tokens I will be glad when I hit level 30 and can put it on 50x autospin
