i notcied on the map its right on the state line for California!!
It will work out good for us, as a drive is nice and different scenary too....
My plan of thought is (for the saturday): Look round shops at the Primm and the casinos there, do coaster (as long as its open!), then on way back, head to 'Red Rock Canyon'... i read you can pay $7 to drive the route ? take in the sights etc, then head to the South Premuim Outlets place by the airport, more shopping, and then head upto Golden Nugget, getting there around 5pm should hopefully see the pool area having some beds for us!
Then sunday, up early as heading to LA - Santa Monica Beach, don my red baywatch shortsand relax for a bit! and then try and find the road with the stars on and take a look around, heading back to Vegas for around midnight.....
More i think about our holiday, more were gonna need a holiday to catchup on R&R when we get back! haha !!!
Just to note, for our myVegas treats, we got:
2 Tickets to Zarkana
2 Tickets to Tournament of the Kings
2 Tickets to Criss Angel
2 Tickets to BeeGees Tribute show
2 Tickets to Bellagio Lunch Buffet
$100 Credit for Fuel the Duel @ Monte Carlo
$75 Credit for Dueling Pianos @ NYNY
$50 Credit at Monte Carlos (going for Diablos or buffet, unsure yet!)
Not bad considering it only cost us $30 in purchased chips!!!0 -
Red Rock scenic loop is a long way away from the south outlets. It about ten miles north and ten west of there. Could be more.
It's probably closer to the north outlets.0 -
Cracking list of rewards Stuie!
I think you just got in at the right time; as did we - we went in April and also had 8 fab rewards - I looked at them this week and they cost so many more LPs now and all the buffet ones are only for sinlge tickets!
Primm - deffo not worth a trip on its own (we stayed for about 1/2 hour on the way to LA), so a good idea to combine it with Red Rock.0 -
Oh and don't forget to wander over to the little white building that stands to the right of the shopping mall, its actually in California,So they sell the powerball lottery tickets there. We were told it was a $142 million jackpot the time we were there.....suppose it would have paid the credit card bill when we got back.
Last time I went to Primm the jackpot was mega millions and the queue to the lottery kiosk was something like 8 hours and it was over 90F, didnt look fun to me0 -
Re: Orleans - I dont think it would have been on our list of places to stay the first time we went, nor would it make it on to it because of location & reliance on transport schedules etc... HOWEVER if I was going with someone who's stayed there before (such as yourself), I wouldn't rule it out so quickly
Re: Primm - for us, it's never been worth a special journey but we have been a couple of times as we've been passing by. Whenever we have been, we've whizzed around in no time and end up just calling in Hollister, however we prefer to just go the proper Hollister @ Town Square as they usually have some decent sale items in
I have only been to Hollister at Primm once, didnt get what we went for but found the item at Town square in their sale (they always have a sale on) so IMO not worth going to Primm just for Hollister as Town square is much closer and a lot nicer0 -

Made me feel tired just reading it, IMO you are planning to do too much.
edit, I have stopped at primm a few times and never seen the coaster working either0 -
I read the coaster is weekends only (and this will be memorial wkend too!) and open from noon till early evening.....
and yup, defo planning a bit too much, haha!! oh well
My route i was thinking of was: after Primm, and then going to South premuim outlets, hit the 160 Rd, then onto 159 Rd, do the red rock scenic route, and then back onto the 159 Rd which comes out 2 blocks from Golden Nugget......
Defo gonna be a mad one!!0 -
I once did a mileage run to Boston to keep AA Plat status - Fare was about £240 on a special offer and I flew Heathrow Chicago (with a 10 hour stop to visit a friend there) Boston -pricelined a hotel at Boston airport and flew back on the day flight. It topped my miles up for a free ticket to Vegas and kept my status. Saved me several hundred pounds plus gave me international lounge access with both AA and BA.
I've always credited BA flights to AA as I found status easier to achieve with AA and of course it still gave me most of the BA perks.
Have had status with United recently instead but really need to research them all over again with so many recent changes and decide which basket to put all my eggs in. May challenge on AA again but not over pleased with their fares recently. Time to spend a few hours on Flyertalk I think.
Hi from Porto Rico! All gone pear shaped at the moment, I should be half way back to Vegas by now, maybe this wasn't a good idea! The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0 -

You'll probably be ok as most people will probably be heading home the day after instead of the Sunday, but worth bearing in mind
(Santa Monica is cool by the waylove it there! - we watched a guy on the pier do a lovely finger-painting of Santa Monica and immediately bought it - it feels cheap but looks great

Hi, when you redeem on myvegas, do you just give your MLife number or does the card actually have to be linked to your myvegas account ? If it does, how do I do this? Thanks:A Your Always in my heart, you never ever will be forgotten-9/9/14:heart2:0
