We had a pitcher of sangria and it was $75 + tax and tip.
Might be rethinking the nightclub visit, but thanks for the info.Don't wait for your ship to come in, swim out to it.0 -

Many thanks for this. Like duchy, I have just started playing and have twice run out of chips so had to stop playing.
Will need to read back here for some strategy.0 -

Re the earlier discussion about trips being regimented.
Tonight the planner went out the window. The original "plan" was to go to the Harley-Davidson Cafe, as we normally nip back from there to check in online for our flight home. No need this year as we already have our seats with having status with BA.
Went to see Donny and Marie, after rescheduling with last week's show being cancelled. They were brilliant BTW and the show was about 80% different from their previous shows that we have seen.
We ended up at Mon Ami Gabi for dinner after saying it would have to wait for another trip. There was a 2 hour wait for the patio at 9.30pm so we opted for inside. We were shown to a table just off the patio, in the middle and facing the Bellagio fountains. Result.
Then they played "Time to Say Goodbye", on our last night.0 -

out of interest btw, is there any special way in how you have attained status with BA... always interested on how people get status, and i've always felt BA status to be quite awkward for me to achieve (though obviously you and Stoneman both have it)

The only real status worth have is silver and gold. You need 600 tier points and fly 4 sectors on BA metal to get silver. Avios don't count towards status, it comes with flying.
A return club world flight to Vegas will get you 280 tier points (TP). So 2 CW flights a year will get you 560 TP leaving you needing 40 to get to silver (which lasts a year from your BAEC joining date) the trick now is to do a TP run while in Vegas to get those points.
And that trick comes with flying AA and using their instant upgrade fares to First class to fly somewhere to get them., and this can be done quite cheaply. AA award more TP per sector than BA but if you put your BAEC number in when booking on AA your points will go to your BAEC account.
Last year I needed 120 TP to retain sliver so I flew LAS/LAX/LAS with AA on an instant updrade fare in First to get them. Cost me £100. This year I need considerably more and my year runs out in June so I need them quick. So today it's off to San Juan via LAX.
BTW you can get Bronze statue with 200 TP but the only perks with that are being able to choose your seat 7 days from departure and some bonus avios when you fly.The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0 -

We were sat on the patio about that time too, almost right in front of you probably.
I had on a suit and Tracy had on a pale pink cocktail dress, did you see us?The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. Have a nice flight
(I'll have to look into the instant upgrade... any pointers?)0 -

Might be useful to some to know that Hilton Honours are currently offering either 4 x Hhonours points, or 20% off your bill at Tropicana until Aug 31st.
I've never stayed at Trop and we won't be back to Vegas for at least a year but HHonours can be decent points to accumulate - we stayed this weekend at a doubletree using points I'd accumulated on work trips over the last few months.0
