OK - what have they done to harrahs.com?
firstly - the pictures zipping in from the side make me dizzy.
secondly - the booking screens after logging into Total Rewards are, IMHO, way less user friendly than they were before...it used to be so much easier to look at the various hotels...and it's not showing all the room options at each hotel that it used to.

I've stayed at the Flamingo several times (usually 2/3 nights so quite doable for the $20 trick) and found it very hit and miss for upgrades (Go room to Go room with view - research shows Fab to Go is very unusual)- yet found CP opposite 100% success rate -so it just goes to show you can't rely on the $20 trick -if it is THAT important to you to have a Strip view.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

Dont think I put in my trip report that we had breakfast at In N Out on Tropicana the last morning, nothing special you say, but while there we saw 2 limos pull up with groups of guys in.
where else in the world do you go to a fast food burger joint in a Limo?:T0 -
just a note to say how important a strip view is to my wife, we had an Augustus tower booked and I told my wife I would try for strip/fountain view, I put in my trip report that we got the best possible, right at the strip end of the tower half way up so perfect view of fountains and eiffel tower etc etc.
We walked in to the room , I opened the curtains and my wife started crying she was so happy

So to you it's worth it
I thought I'd love having one-but honestly the reality was after the first wow I didn't have the leisure time to appreciate it properly (but my trips to Vegas are usually short and full- not much time for sitting back and chilling)
I love the Augustus Tower-it's my fiance's first trip to Vegas this year -and I'm thinking hit him with the Wow factor the first night with an Augustus room- hopefully he won't cry though
