Thank you, both. I think this may be a little more of a 'clubbing' holiday than some others on here, so i'll certainly be leaving a report when i'm back and i've pulled myself around!! ;)

The 'planning by map' is what i'm trying to work out. I imagine some restaurants, bars and clubs i'd like to visit are all under one roof and it'll be worth working them out around that.

The wasting of days is what i'm most concerned about. If the group is hungover or we stop in a bar far too long in the middle of the day meaning we don't get to go to a roof top bar somewhere for the view etc.

    Thanks again.

    Stu

Would really recommend Las Vegas Club Crawl if you're planning a booze filled trip - we got a deal off Groupon for it and had a great night. I think the link to my trip report from last summer is on the first page if you want to find out where we went.

p.s. however many days you think you will need to recover afterwards - double it and add a few more ;)

Cheers for the info guys & girls! (buffet)

    oh and 99F ???? is that all !?!!! :D:D:D:D
Ohhhh roll on 22 days time, i cant wait!!! :D

Just another point about the Spice Market buffet Groupon...as it includes unlimited drinks, you could always use it just for a place to stop off for drinks and some snacks - the lunch deal is less than £12 each! We might end up doing this with the Paris one from the other week as we're getting rather booked up with meals!

Just bought two giant cocktail Groupons too - the Tacos and Tequilas 'Chonga' margarita one and the Fresh one for yard long drinks (DH really fancies being one of those reprobates who wanders down the Strip with one in the middle of the day :rotfl:)

Also - just read a Facebook friend's review of Spice Market, apparently there are really good steaks at the Middle Eastern station :)

I would consider Wizard of Suds as practically at Orleans.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

Check out what's open inside the club on the day that you want to go or it could end as a big disappointment.

Yeah, I think in the most part, we'll be chasing DJs, which is why I went out of my way to get tickets for Hakkasan. Some of us are big on some DJs, some just want to drink anywhere!

Seem to remember spirit & mixer were around $10.

I've seen a review for Hakkasan, that you're looking at $18.50 for a Vodka & Red Bull.

Seen mixed reviews for the club crawls. I'd certainly not mind it to skip cover charges etc and get to a few clubs that we may not necessarily be able to get to as well as mixing with a larger group. It was Sin City Club Crawl that seemed the best to me. Not starting too early and going to decent clubs.
Other lads weren't so convinced. Concerned it would be a bus full of blokes. :D

best take loads of $$$ for a clubbing bash!!!!!
Were gonna goto Pure, possibly LAX, and a few others if we get chance, but wont be happy paying £10 or more for a bottle of beer!

Well we're used to Ibiza prices, so we've kind of braced ourselves for ridiculous prices that you get out there at the clubs. €10 for a bottle of Estrella at Pacha, for example!
We're not VIP wannabes and prefer to be in the mix, so not bothered about table service etc.

It is, however my birthday in the middle of the holiday, which is why i organised Vegas! So trying to think of something a bit special for that day / night.

One question i have for any of you regulars / heavy drinkers ( ;) )

As you all rightly point out, it's pricey in the fancy bars and nightclubs.
With regards to 'starter bars' and 'smaller' nights out... Are there many on the strip?

E.g. If we plan on going to a nightclub and a few bars in The Cosmopolitan. Are there a number of smaller, cheaper, but busy bars outside on the strip??

Could you have a night on the strip without hitting the likes of the fancier bars? (without sacrificing loud music, women and hard liquor? :D)

theres some road behind the strip which is good for bars (up by Ballys way i think), cant remember the name of it!

I recommend going to Treasure Island, sink a few beers in there (good views at gilleys ;) ) and then go on the rodeo bull, after beers and shots.... makes for a great night! haha ! i almost puked last time! ;)

we just booked 2 nights comped at Orleans for October - I'm really excited about it - we'll likely be double booked somewhere else and probably only actually stay at Orleans one night...but I am really looking forward to finally trying it out. We are still not sure if it would be right for us for a longer period (I get why it is for some, just not sure for us) but for a night or two it will be fun to see what it's all about. Especially excited about the laundry facilities*. ;)

*please note that there are not any actual laundry facilities at Orleans.

What dates. We are checking out of Orleans this am, after 4 nights ! but before we left we booked a flight for October and are staying here again comped for 3 nights 17th to 20th.

We'll miss you at Orleans - we're there the 22/23rd but arrive in Vegas on the 16th so maybe our paths will cross at some point. :)

We arrived at the hotel at 9pm last night. Absolutely shattered as I didn't sleep on the flight. I don't think the pairs of seats at the back of the 747 suit me as I sleep better if I can lean against the window. However I like having all that space to dump my stuff on the floor.

We had turbulence twice which is the worst we've had going to Vegas, lasted for ages and the plane was rocking from side to side.

Managed 3.5 hours sleep and woke at 2.30am. It's now 4.15am, the joys of jet lag.

Found a good deal (for us) for 3 nights in an Augustus Tower room at Caesars for the end of our trip in July. Thoughts on the decor of the room/general hotel would be greatly appreciated.

We will have stayed Cosmo/M/Four Seasons during the trip and are just finalising the last 3 nights...
