yes - that time too! amazing. at least then it was in the queue for the bus to get back to the parking but still - that was one insane queue - I was so surprised to see you guys and so nice since we were going to be late to meet you because of the silly bus situation. :)

Methinks pebbles has a built-in radar!

Last year we were at Ellis Island very early on our first full day. Hubby went to the loo and bumped into pebbles waiting for Tony!

A few of you I think used to use the LVTalk forums (Pebbles is still friendly with Norm from there if I remember correctly and I'm sure my ACG book made it to Norm via Luci and Pebbles one year).

Anyway, I went to a few meets with LVTalk forums. One meet was at the Orleans and we went to the buffet afterwards with 2 girls, one from Texas (TexasLynnie) and the other from San Diego (Jennifer, can't remember her forum name). We had buffet then went our separate ways. Never kept in touch as I stopped using that forum for some reason. One trip we were at Silverton of all places.Af It was Labor Day and was crazy busy as there was a fab buffet deal on. We were using ACG coupons, so we stood in the line at the slot club to validate the coupon. Another long line. While in line I caught someone's eye and thought 'familiar'. I the said to Kevin I thought it was Jennifer...he wasn't sure. After a few more glances, she asked where we were from (obviously also not sure), and yes it was her. I found it really weird to bump into someone at Silverton of all places!!! The forum were having a meet a few nights later at Orleans. We were staying at Orleans so I gave her our room number to leave a message with the time etc. We stopped by later and saw them, however we were travelling in a group so we couldn't really stop long as we had plans.

No pebbles, we haven't seen about Matt Goss tickets yet. We are now at Bally's and will be checking with the Box Office in the next couple of days.

Speaking of Bally's, we have scored a suite again! This one is even better than the last one. It's on the top floor overlooking the Bellagio fountains. Massive with a super king size bed, steps up to a sunken jacuzzi and a steam room!

All in great order and not at all worn.

that's great, Luci - they must like you there...we have stayed there so many times and we never get a suite...I am jealous. :)

Hope you have a great time there.

    Brilliant, thanks.

I have no idea what the facilities are like at T3, but T2 was dire.

Do you know if you can buy status with Avios. I don't think you can

No you can't buy status. But there is a lounge that you can buy entrance to if you have any sort of Amex card. It is the Amex Centurion Lounge at D gates in T1.. You can access it by going through security at T3 and getting the train over to T1 airside. By all accounts from what I have read it is the finest lounge in the U.S. I will be using it on the 16th because I will be at D gates anyway. It is free if you have an Amex Centurion card or $50. Bearing in mind that it costs £65 to be a plus 1 to a guest in the VS clubhouse at LHR. By all accounts it is well worth the money if you plan on spending some time there. I managed to blag a free pass by emailing Amex.;)
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

Now I know I said I wasn't planning a Vegas trip .......but looks like one is on the cards in the next couple of months ...... to look at wedding chapels !!! (No I will NOT be posting on the Bridezilla thread lol) The idea is to go find one we like and book it for next May (two Vegas trips-I'm not silly)

Planning a recce Chapel of the Flowers looks nice but all suggestions welcome for something "intimate".

    Congratulations duchy!

I think it was the Little Chapel of the Flowers where my brother got married and he was well impressed which is saying something as he is hard to please.

I still can't believe he has been to Vegas 3 times as it is the last place on earth you would expect him to like as he doesn't gamble, isn't a foodie and doesn't do sunbathing He visited on a tour, proposed at the GC and got married 2 days later.

Any idea which date in May? You might have an extra couple of guests / gatecrashers!
