Hello Vegas people!
Finally persuaded the husband to plan another Vegas holiday so we'll be having our 4th trip in Aug 2014.
Only catch is he wants to stay at the Mardi Gras....(seriously we've stayed at the Sig before but he prefers the Mardi Gras..) He likes being off strip and a walk from Gordon Biersch, each to their own lol.
Is it about 11 months before I'll be able to see prices? We want to fly Aug 24th or 25th, probably be a 2 week trip.0 -
Found a good deal (for us) for 3 nights in an Augustus Tower room at Caesars for the end of our trip in July. Thoughts on the decor of the room/general hotel would be greatly appreciated.
We haven't stayed in the new tower but of those we have stayed in Augustus is by far our favorite - best placed/easiest access in and out of the property and very nice as well...the easy access was a big plus as the property is quite large and seems from other towers that it takes forever to get out of Caesars. where did you find the deal?Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
Made it to the end (on and off been playing catch up since the 2012 thread!!!)
We are heading to Orlando in September, but decided we couldn't go to the US of A without a trip to Vegas (just 4 nights tho) - this will be my 5th!!
14 of us going, previously had a party of 20 go in 2010 for my uncles 50th. What can I say we are (mainly!) Scottish and love the place
Have been playing MyVegas since December and me and my GF have both managed to grab the 2-night Tower Suite at the Mirage. Now just building LPs for whatever is available closer to the time.
Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself and say Hi, so "Hi", and I hope I can contribute and give my tuppence worth along the way - don't think I've posted before!!!0 -
A question for stoneman or anyone else who has status with BA.
Is there a BA lounge at T3 at McCarran?
Hubby seems to think there is, but I though it was just for Club or First.0 -

It was on Travel Republic - probably not fantastic by most money saving rules, however it's in the range of what we're looking to pay. Still undecided as to whether to go back to the Mandarin though, we love the peace and seclusion.....hmmmmmmmmm:staradmin There is no normal, only typical :staradmin0 -
Tried luv it custard yesterday was nice but prefer coldstonecreamery.
Also went to the pawn shop, at about 2000, straight in at that time of day, got chatting to a guy in there, tells me they close the store for an hour or so when they film and they are filming most days at the moment and when they reopen the queue can be hundreds of people long, they will sometimes let a few customers in when filming if they need extras0 -

Yes there is a lounge, alright but not up to T5 standards. Sandwiches available and free bar. There are showers as well. You used to have to be flying in J or F as was the case in the old lounge in T2 but it is now open to silver and gold card holders
Also if you have a Priorty Pass or Lounge Club card you can get in.
If you apply for the Amex Gold you get 2 Lounge Club passes to use.The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0 -
Hi there
I'd like to ask some basic questions about getting cash. Going to LV and going on a GC road trip later this month :j
I have a Metrobank debit card and a Halifax Clarity card so I'll get charged no fees this side!
Where is the best place to find out about ATM locations and fees in the area?
Any tips on which banks etc offer the lowest ATM fees?
Will grocery stores / gas stations offer cashback on a UK debit card?
Thanks all in advance! We are QPR, say we are QPR!0
