we just booked 2 nights comped at Orleans for October - I'm really excited about it - we'll likely be double booked somewhere else and probably only actually stay at Orleans one night...but I am really looking forward to finally trying it out. We are still not sure if it would be right for us for a longer period (I get why it is for some, just not sure for us) but for a night or two it will be fun to see what it's all about. Especially excited about the laundry facilities. ;)

Ferf you are a very naughty girl !!!!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

(for anyone getting excited thinking the Orleans has laundry facilities -it's a joke btw :) )

I'll be really interested to hear what you think of the Orleans Ferf. I've stayed there so often it feels like "coming home" and as it was my first Vegas hotel it has some great memories. You'll save a heap on food eating there instead of on Strip all the time though :)

Aye I know, I meant I hope the Scoot City offer the promo again near our trip so we only need to pay the $125 ;) If not though, the fact that we've paid some already will lessen the blow of having to pay more!

My TR is in progress, so many details to add though, I've only done 3 days so far!

EDIT: Oooh nearly forgot to say I have a Travelzoo Kahunaville voucher that we didn't use ($25 for 6 drinks - $55.50 value) that expires on June 16th. Makes sense that someone gets the benefit of the promotional value so if anyone going before then is interested it'd be a shame to waste it! If not we'll just use the base value next trip :D
It's got my OH's (now husbands - eek!) name on it so I suppose a male would be better! The bartender asked for my name after we handed it over, but it seemed like it was only to clarify who was who as another party handed over a voucher at the same time, they didn't check ID or anything. Soooo just let me know if interested :)

i'll take it off you - i can pop some money in your payapl account?

One thing that may help is to group things you want to do by area to try to make the most of your trip...

That probably sounds kind of sad...

I think most here would suggest not over-planning as you'll either end up feeling rushed or like you're always behind schedule...may be better to leave plenty of free time to see where the day takes you. We do a planner but it has whole days that are wide open...but has a few things locked in so we can work around them.

have a great trip and I really hope you will come and tell us what you thought - it's great reading trip reports and sometimes those of first timer's are particularly interesting to read.

it's good to have a vague plan so that you don't waste time completely, but even just deciding to walk to the Forum shops can be a day's event by the time you've stopped off at places along the way, let alone wandered round the shops :)

Thank you, both. I think this may be a little more of a 'clubbing' holiday than some others on here, so i'll certainly be leaving a report when i'm back and i've pulled myself around!! ;)

The 'planning by map' is what i'm trying to work out. I imagine some restaurants, bars and clubs i'd like to visit are all under one roof and it'll be worth working them out around that.

The wasting of days is what i'm most concerned about. If the group is hungover or we stop in a bar far too long in the middle of the day meaning we don't get to go to a roof top bar somewhere for the view etc.

    Thanks again.

    Laundry facilities?!

We are staying at the Orleans next weekend. As we will only have laundry faciltites at the beginning and end of our trip, access to a washing machine would be much appreciated mid-trip.

Do you mean Wizard of Suds on Arville?

I actually had typed a disclaimer originally to avoid getting people's hopes up but deleted it...was a joke referencing laundry-gate...I should edit it. :)
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

I've been to Pure twice, once on a Saturday night when all of the rooms and the terrace were open and it was rocking. The other time was on a Sunday when the terrace was closed and only the main room indoors was open. On that day it was terrible, just full of kids dry humping each other on the dancefloor and somebody even puked right in the middle of the dancefloor.

Check out what's open inside the club on the day that you want to go or it could end as a big disappointment.

Totally agree! I went to Pure on a Tuesday which I think was industry night - everywhere was open and absolutely packed, you literally couldn't move. Then went on the Fri (I think) when only the rooftop was open and much more relaxed atmosphere.

Seem to remember spirit & mixer were around $10.
