I did mine about 15 minutes after the flight departure time (+90 days of course) for the last flight and there were already several seats taken. There must have been people sat there refreshing continually waiting for the seat map to be released.

He's always wanted to see the Grand Canyon so they flew out this morning from Henderson, got there and couldn't land so have been turned back :-(

This made me very sad - I hope there is some chance he can try again before he comes home.

I like Fuddruckers at the Orleans ....I was disappointed with Johnny Rockets at the Flamingo though -it doesn't have the same atmosphere of their stand alone branches but the shakes are still gorgeous !

Agree but also have to be careful as they will put a hold against the card that's used so those funds would be locked up for the duration of the stay.

If this is still current it would be $100/night hold on a card...so if someone doesn't have enough additional available (over and above what they would want for spending) then it could be an issue.

So if there's any concern would be worth looking into the alternate cash deposit option.

The Cesars hotels (CP, Flamingo, Rio etc) all have a notice up IIRC saying something like "If you're paying by debit rather than creditcard talk to us first" I've always gone the cash deposit route with them without issue -and often paid less than the $50/$100 a night -I just say I've only got $100 on me in cash and they just say fine -and take that even for a 4 night stay.

A few pages back I opened a bit of a conversation on the resort fee at the Cosmo on bookings through www.lowcostusa.co.uk

In short and to refresh memories they (lowcost) were adamant that resort fee was included in my booking and they sent a confirmation saying so. The Cosmopolitan on the other hand say that the resort fee applies to all bookings made after Dec 1st 2012 (made mine in early Feb).

I've now received the hotel voucher from Lowcost - the piece of paper I'll be presenting to the front desk - which also clearly states non mandatory resort fee. So I think I'll either have the hotel say, this isn't right but we can see it's not your error so we'll waive the fee. Or, they'll say this isn't right, you have to pay, in which case I'll be claiming back from Lowcost.

I doubt I'm the first to stay there with this problem from a Lowcost booking though and I'm suprised they (lowcost) haven't been advised that they are wrong by now.

Also anyone else as bothered as I am with the currency situation? I'm going to change up cash this week just to try and avoid further falls (usually use fee free debit card).

EDIT - just 13 days to go!

dollar has gone crap, and i mean bad :(
what a totally useless government we have.

Before the announcement, i could get $1.57
After the announcement of devalue, i got $1.52 to £ (so $306 for £200)
Then a few days later, its $1.48 to the £ (so i $306 costs £206)
Today is $1.46 , i dont know what to do, i have £1500 to change, but do i gamble and wait, or potentially lose out more ?! :(
    I dont go until May!

is still $1.48 where we get our currency (Best Foreign Exchange) but it is disturbing...we bought at $1.51 a couple of weeks ago - should have bought before that (hindsight 20/20 and all that).

Need to check what we have in our holiday account for withdrawals and make sure it's in line with expectations now...can't remember the last time it was so low.

I can't get holiday insurance to cover anything to do with my heart, everything else is covered as normal. Does anybody know what would happen should I (extremely unlikely) have a heart issue while on holiday in the US.

It won't make any difference to my trip but just curious about the treatment or lack of it without insurance.
    It's someone else's fault.
