    Hi all,

Eventually booked my trip for me and my partner, 11th sept - 17th sept with virgin, staying at harrahs in a Deluxe Executive Suite. £1780 in total, i was fairly please with that, should get 5% with quidco off that also.

    A few questions however....

    1) On lastminute.com it states harrahs has no resort fees , yet it says they will take a mandatory £72 at check in? is that not a resort fee?

    2) It also says a valid credit card will be required, i do not have one, credit rating not great but OH could get one if really needed?

    3) How soon or late to fill out the ESTA (Visa Waiver) ? im renewing my passport next month is it worth waiting until my new one has arrived? when i went a few years ago there was no charge and they didnt seem to check that i had even done it.

    4) Lastly, Does this seem like a reasonable deal, i was fairly satisfied with it, but wouldnt mind some feedback about Harrahs, good or bad.

Thanks for taking the time to read all this, any help would be great, cant wait to go now :)

They introduced a resort fee for bookings from 1st March - I don't know if you will have any recourse if the 3rd party said otherwise.

ESTA is tied to your passport number so you should wait - will just have to do it again. ESTA is electronically held - they will know if you have one or not...if you don't you won't get on the plane unless you can sort one out at an internet cafe or similar.

Did you check the components separately? Flights same days and hotels direct and with other 3rd parties? That's normally the way to tell if it's a decent deal...

Make sure you use the official site for the ESTAs which are $14pp and not one of the sponsored sites on Google

    https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov/

We found Harrah's a bit bleugh. Nothing bad about it, but nothing outstanding either. We don't like the casino there, but that's not a problem as people rarely hang around the hotel they are staying at all the time anyway.

It's in a good location and the buffet is good and reasonably priced. If you sign up for a Total Rewards card there you will get a discount on the buffet.

Oh Luci - decided against that other Vegas trip. Had originally been looking at Malta, but couldn't get a decent deal, hence deciding to just go for something 'bigger'. Eventually got a better deal for Malta, so going there instead :)

Still going to Vegas in September though. I'm keen to maybe try restaurant.com, so if anyone gets any codes for it can you possibly share them on here?

Its always worth letting the hotel you are staying in,if you are celebrating anything. When we stayed at MGM it was OH's 50th ,so I emailed them and they upgraded up to a celebrity spa suite( massive jacuzzi in bathroom). We like to go in June which happens to be our wedding anniversary, and all three times the Bellagio left chocolates and a card in our room.Last year it was our 25th and we stayed at the Mirage. We went out and later on when we came back, there was smoooth music playing ,bedcovers turned back, petals sprinkled over the bed and a chilled bottle of bubbly waiting for us.OH thought we had got in the wrong room,it actually freaked us out!!!!!

I need to contact Bally's to extend our reservation by a day and plan to mention it will be our honeymoon :D

I'm struggling to find an email address though, all I can see is the phone number! Can any Bally's experts direct me to an email addy I can use?

Also is it worth emailing the Palazzo before, even though our booking is through Priceline? I'm tending to think we'll just try the $20/$50 trick at check in, or maybe even ask nicely mentioning our honeymoon! Any experiences of either would be great :)

Am about to have another go with Priceline to book rooms for my mum and brother, aiming for another great 5* deal. I will let you know what happens!

We stayed there once years ago on one of our first comped deals - as it happened we got the smallest room in Vegas so didn't like it but that was an exceptional thing I think...we are considering Harrah's for October as it seems through TR we can get a petite suite for 5 nights...and that is what is possibly going to swing us to try it again. We like the casino there, it has one of the last remaining machines of my favorite slot (Get Nuts)...but we don't necessarily do very well gambling there. It is a good location as you say, so I think I want to try it again.

Can you not updated it online? Usually you can modify it online...otherwise I would just call them (use the international call checker)...or you could send them a message via

    https://totalrewards.custhelp.com/app/ask/list

We've done that before to link reservations, etc. and usually have a reply pretty quickly.
