I was a bit freaked out by the toilets in mix but I don't like heights! You do get an amazing view, when I was brave enough to go right up to the window and look!0

We're most likely going to go up to Mix in the week as staying at Four Seasons so will just pop across. We don't normally 'do' bars in LV (I don't drink) so does anyone have anyone idea what drinks prices are like (regular beer etc.)???
We stay at the 4 Seasons and loved it, but did prefer using the pool at the MB. The one at 4S has little room around the edges and lots of trees, so there is loads of shade. If you are hiring a car email in advance and ask them to waive the $16 a night valet charge, they did this for us, or self park in MB and walk through the casino to the "secret door"The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0 -

Thanks for the info Stoneman, am not too bothered about the shade around the pool as when we go in July that will be welcome (I also burn dead easy so shade is good). Hubby has wanted to do a day at MB pool for years but we didn't fancy staying there so this is an excellent compromise for the both of us.
In terms of the FS waiving the valet fee - do we need go give a reason for this??? Not sure why they'd agree to waive it without a valid reason? Sorry if I'm being dense...:staradmin There is no normal, only typical :staradmin0 -

I just asked because we were staying there 7 nights and it was going to work out pretty expensive. Say you have only found out about the charge and are considering cancelling because you hadn't factored the cost into the stay, and it wasn't made clear in the booking stageThe common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. 3 months to go till we fly off to Vegas to get married! Everything is now booked, we got a good deal at The Signature for 8 nights, flying with Virgin, then we are doing a road trip via Mammoth Lakes to San Francisco for 3 nights.
We are super excited now and will be trawling mse for vouchers and info.
We have been before 7 years ago and did the Grand Canyon etc last time, so this time we will be making lots of use of the pool. With the Signature they do have kitchens in the rooms so we plan to stock up on Breakfast and drink items to save pennies.

New hotel/casino for Stardust/Echelon sitehttp://www.vegasinc.com/news/2013/mar/04/old-stardust-site-sold-new-strip-casino/
Boyd Gaming, the Las Vegas company that started and stopped construction of a resort it called Echelon on the Las Vegas Strip, is selling the 87-acre site to Genting Group, a Malaysian multinational company considered a gaming industry powerhouse in Asia.
Boyd announced it would sell the site, once the home of the iconic Stardust, for $350 million.
Genting plans to build a 3,500-room resort with a 175,000-square-foot casino in what the company is calling the “first phase” of a property to be named Resort World Las Vegas.
The project is expected to bring thousands of jobs to Southern Nevada at the property and in construction.
The company did not announce a completion date, but the land transaction is scheduled to close today.0
