Thanks Wizbit & photome, the Wynn sounds great, a definite possibility
Seems like I need to start posting on hotel facebook pages that we're getting married
I love to stay at the Wynn, wouldn't have minded at all if we'd ended up there with our Priceline booking!
Has anyone been to Top of the World? I know we were maybe going there anyway but it's been suggested as a possibility, also like the look of Sage at Aria...Cross Stitch Cafe Challenger No. 26 :hello:XStitch to do list:-- Birth Sampler -- Christmas Angel -- Mum's Xmas Stitch -- Christmas decs 3 & 4 -- Xmas Bird ---- Snowflake Sonata -- Be Jolly -- JE Unicorn -- Start HAED!!! --0 -
From our experience, during the week it's free to go up to the Mix Bar - it's usually quite quiet up there too so you can get seated outside with a nice view down the strip and have the 'outdoor' feeling to it all.
Also, during the week, there's usually someone wandering around inside Mandalay Bay handing out '2 for 1' drinks vouchers for Mix Bar - worth keeping your eyes peeled
edit: doh - just seen JayTay's response!
We may try Mix this year for the view if it is free. we dont normally do "bars".
Is it free if you only want to go up for a drink? website says $150 -

I wouldn't normally say this either, but make sure you go the toilet whilst you're up thereseriously!

We're most likely going to go up to Mix in the week as staying at Four Seasons so will just pop across. We don't normally 'do' bars in LV (I don't drink) so does anyone have anyone idea what drinks prices are like (regular beer etc.)???:staradmin There is no normal, only typical :staradmin0

Coronas were about $8 IIRC
A round of drinks for 5 ppl was about $50 inc.tip and that was wine & beers
they tend (midweek) to dish out 2 for 1 vouchers in the casino though0 -
we've never been charged Mon - Thurs. Woman at desk has always waived us up - sometimes there's not even been anyone there to waive us up! Usually pre-10pm -the earlier you go, the more likely they won't care - and its always been dead in there in the week unless a corporate event is on (usually in a roped off area) so cant see how they could charge
I wouldn't normally say this either, but make sure you go the toilet whilst you're up thereseriously!
I wonder why.
Thanks for info0 -

Nothing worth getting overly excited about but definitely worth a visit
Ladies toilets also have a bit of a view down from MB too (apparently!)0 -
Its always worth letting the hotel you are staying in,if you are celebrating anything. When we stayed at MGM it was OH's 50th ,so I emailed them and they upgraded up to a celebrity spa suite( massive jacuzzi in bathroom). We like to go in June which happens to be our wedding anniversary, and all three times the Bellagio left chocolates and a card in our room.Last year it was our 25th and we stayed at the Mirage. We went out and later on when we came back, there was smoooth music playing ,bedcovers turned back, petals sprinkled over the bed and a chilled bottle of bubbly waiting for us.OH thought we had got in the wrong room,it actually freaked us out!!!!!0
