Well, back then, i remember buying the vouchers with 70 or 75% off....
I got quite a few for the 3 locations we did.....
So based on the 'gift cert amount', that amount gets credited back, so the $50 stripburger cert goes back as a $50 cert against another deal....
If u got 5 $50 cert vouchers, then u pick 5 more deals with $50 cert value or less...

For my $50 stripburger voucher, i have changed that against 'First Food & Bar' in the Palazzo for the same amount (have to spend $100)...
Works out a super deal.... as could quite happily work my way through the cocktails! :D
When u log in to R.com, it will show unused vouchers, and give u an option to exchange for 'eGift credit'
    cracking!!!! :D

On that note, any of u eaten/drank at the First Food & Bar inside the Palazzo ????

I have been to site and looked and see it does work, have changed a few vouchers in toi credit where the restaurant doesnt even exist any more, also found an ENVY cert from 2008 that I didnt know I had, i will use that in May

    edit

I have also swopped an old $50 one that i wouldnt use for the First food bar

Ok, I'm looking at Mr Lucky's diner in the Hard Rock. It says I have to sign up for a rock star card? Is this some kind of reward card? I don't gamble, so they'd be no point in me getting one, lol.

Also, some places say one per month. Has anyone has issues using more than one? Obviously not everyday lol, but a few times in a fortnight, say. Thanks.

I plan to try it out in April!

R.com sent me an email in December telling I need to exchange my Top of the World voucher as they don't participate in the scheme anymore. I logged on finally the other day and noticed you can still buy Top of the World vouchers so emailed them back to ask for clarification.

If we have to exchange we were thinking of getting a First Food & Bar voucher. If not I may wait for a sale and buy one any way :P

We also want to try El Segundo Sol, Ocean One Bar & Grill and the Border Grill, so much choice!

PS flights and cars booked :T Now just the rental house to go! Sooooo excited :rotfl:

i've just been the once - am glad that totallybored had a better experience than us...

... actually, that's a lie - we went twice but the opening hours on the website (saying it was open for lunch during the week) were different to the real opening times where we discovered it wasn't open for lunch during the week! (its fixed on the website now it seems :) )

think we went on a Sunday in the end and had the brunch offering - unlimited champagne or bloody mary's for $10 (IIRC) so that was a good deal

I had high hopes for the place but service was awful (although *ahem* well presented ;) ), portion sizes were a bit lousy and food was average... I think we ordered fries to share too, and took ages for them to turn up (plus our server disappeared so we struggled to flag anyone down!)

Hopefully it was an off day but won't be giving them another chance as it's not exactly cheap food! :)

edit: oh nuts - just seen a few people are excited about trying it - i'm not intending to dampen spirits and hopefully you have a better experience and opinion of the place than us :)

    Thank Vern58 for mentioning R.com !!!

No problemo! I'm just a bit gutted I've missed the big discounts this month - I'm off to Vegas in a couple of weeks. No idea why I didn't receive the emails - R.com is on my safe senders list and my profile says I should get the emails. Grrr.

we like El Segundo Sol :) always seem to get really nice service there, and the food has always been good and seemed 'fresh'.... it's owned by the same group that owns Mon Ami Gabi, (and Strip Burger of course!)

I think it opened initially a good few years ago to poor reviews but they have certainly got better :)

we plan to do the Border Grill brunch this time too - have wanted too many times before but never get around to it!... we can get it free through 'MyVegas' though so hopefully that will ensure we make it this time!

South Point has introduced a resort fee, $12.50 per night plus tax, which works out to $14. Included is Internet, fitness-center access, local calls, boarding-pass printing, airport shuttles, valet parking, and a fun book.

Ellis Island has raised the price of their steak dinner to $8.99. However, if you play a dollar in any slot or video poker machine, you get the special at the old price of $7.99.

Thanks! And that was why I asked about the Border Grill, wondered if it was worth cashing in points for it :)

On the subject of food, do any of you lovely lot have any recommendations for somewhere we can go for dinner after the wedding?

There will be about 12 of us and we want somewhere nice (obviously!) with great food and great service and I won't say cheap, but we'd like good value for money! :money:

Someone on the 2012 thread recommended Cafe Bellagio as they went there for their wedding meal and got a $50 set menu set up. That's definitely a contender but we're on the look out for other ideas, maybe somewhere slightly more fancy?!

    Help?!

It's free to join (and yes it's their player's club card)...you don't have to use it.

As for the one per month thing we have never tried it as we assume that it won't work...the restaurant (usually) calls the voucher into r.com...I assume that if the same account had redeemed one already in the period they would reject it and by then it is too late - you've ordered and eaten...I am reasonably sure some restaurants do not call the vouchers in, but do not know for certain.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?
