Lol Karen-I was a nervous wreck for most of my holiday last year! I especially hated those spiral ramps-I nearly flew off one
:o
Right, i'm trying to convince myself, the driving will be all part of the fun:eek:
Are you sure you should be driving after all it is supposed to be a holiday.
I do all the driving and love driving, but sometimes wish my wife would do a little but she doesnt feel confident enough, so she just wontand I guess that is for the best

Jeez, just realised the Win / Loss statements are out for last year...
It's no wonder MGM are sending me offers for free rooms
Made a loss at CET too, but only around $30 so not too bad... PlanetHo was my friend, Paris was my nemesis
Regardless, it's always a reminder to me that sometimes, my drinks aren't exactly free
Mine neither:rotfl:but my wifes were, and paid for my losses at Orleans0 -
Can I just add a note here - please use caution when free re-bidding in other zones. There could be other hotels in there that you're not aware of and Vegas is full of classy properties. I am sure there's a fancy joint down and Lake Las Vegas, and this could be an bad error.
Yes a few zones have 4* properties that could be upgraded. I wonder if the map updates the changes immediately...
I have to admit I was nervous of this even though I was double checking the hotel ratings available in each zone in a different browser window as I made the bids. I was pretty sure that no new 5* properties were going to pop up in zones other than Strip North, Strip North Vicinity and Strip South Vicinity but you can never be 100%! I was also worried that they'd changed Trump back to 5* Northor added a new 5* to that zone.
At the end of the day if I'd ended up with something unexpected, I wouldn't have been happy but you have be willing to take the risk!
And as I said, anyone thinking of using Priceline please read the advice on Blindman's thread and on betterbidding.com first!Well done on the bidding. I'm happy to see Priceline being a good choice for Vegas again. It was a seen as a bad way of booking hotels by many for a while there.
Another one to investigate (and you'll also probably now receive discounts offers) is the Priceline Express deals. I found the price with 10% coupon code to be around what I paid on the bidding section. Still good for identifying and also gauging the price for bidding.
Thanks! I saw the express deals page, they were offering $130pn for 5* North Strip so I saved $80 by bidding. Hope I get those discount codes, would be nice to not have to bid! :rotfl:
Right, my mission today is to get those wretched flights booked :eek:Cross Stitch Cafe Challenger No. 26 :hello:XStitch to do list:-- Birth Sampler -- Christmas Angel -- Mum's Xmas Stitch -- Christmas decs 3 & 4 -- Xmas Bird ---- Snowflake Sonata -- Be Jolly -- JE Unicorn -- Start HAED!!! --0 -

YOu know, I really enjoy driving in some situations - two lane highways in California (NOT LA!) being one of them. Off strip it was fine. Id still get a taxi and pick the car up later :cool:0 -

I don't enjoy driving, but do feel confident behind the wheel, once I get going. I have wondered honestly though, whether i'd be better off not to drive. Last year, we had a few instances, where i could have left the car, but would always end up taking it for the convenience. I definitely prefer being a passenger though, lol.:A Your Always in my heart, you never ever will be forgotten-9/9/14:heart2:0 -
Any one been to Eli Roths Goretorium (hostel and cabin fever)?
It is on groupon for $18 and my wife would love it, but those hostel films were soooo gruesome I am not sure i want to go inside:o
EDIT
After reading reviews not sure if it is worth even $180 -

$119 once fees are added:eek:still wouldnt mind seeing it but will be back home when it starts...does that mean we will have to go back to Vegas again:eek:0 -
It's always worth posting a good TZ offer ferf, as not all emails that are sent out are the same. Hubby had Donny and Marie on his, but I had Nathan Burton on mine.0

you get to bypass the desks upstairs and go straight down to the booth in the garage...sometimes the queues upstairs are ugly so this is already a win...though sometimes there's a much shorter queue downstairs...and occasionally there's another queue for the car-pointer-outer. But it is absolutely worth having Express membership.
You can try to get your 3rd party to associate your Express number with the rental - I've had mixed success with this...when it works, the booth will already have your contract printed out...when it doesn't, they will still print it there and you've still skipped the queue.
Cool job title....car-pointer-outer:rotfl:0
