$119 once fees are added:eek:still wouldnt mind seeing it but will be back home when it starts...does that mean we will have to go back to Vegas again:eek:
yeah, those fees are always a killer...if the deal was on for our dates in October I would have booked.

And thanks luci - I never reaslised that the listed deals were different for different users, just assumed they were the same.

    Cool job title....car-pointer-outer:rotfl:

Agree - I would like more hyphens in my job title.

The thing is, when standing in the Express queue...sometimes there's a delay...and you can see that there are few cars available and you really want one...and by the time that you get to the car-pointer-outer queue there are a bunch of non-Express people who got there first...that annoys me, when I was at the Express booth first and I get behind the non-Express person who gets my car.

Last time it happened they had 5 Mustang convertibles and were just giving them to the next person along as they had nothing else available...missed it by one...had the Express queue not had someone exchanging an SUV for another SUV, that Mustang would have been mine...instead I got offered an SUV which I declined (too big for me to feel comfortable) and I had to stand around waiting for the next reasonable size car to arrive.

Hi, i'm considering doing the valley of fire for my birthday in august. Has anyone gone during the summer, if so, is it ridiculously hot? We've been ok in orlando and dubai in august, but was wondering what. Peoples opinions are. Thanks :)

I feel like I'm stalking you

Valley of Fire we haven't done in August, but we did do Death Valley which I believe is comparable - even a little hotter.

It was as hot as the place where Satan lives :D and the air con in the car was very welcome. We did get out and wander about in a few places, but we never spent more than ten minutes walking before returning to the car, we kept bottles of water on hand at all times. It felt hotter than Orlando - but without the wet humidity feeling.

we haven't done Valley of Fire in the summer but it was hot enough when we went (October maybe?) that it was uncomfortable for us - but we do not like particularly hot weather...but would suggest bringing bottled water with you, in a cool bag or similar with ice from the hotel...when we were there, the vending machines at the visitor's centre were stealing money from everyone and an angry queue had built up and there were no drinks sold in the shop itself, just the machines...we happened to have some bottles in the boot (from our WalMart run) but they were not at all cold so not very nice but at least they were wet...we very much regretted not planning ahead.

Thank you both for your replies :)

I think the birthday picnic can be ruled out then:( I love the heat and so do my older two, but my younger two, will not be impressed! We will visit though, but not for a picnic :D I will make sure we have plenty of supplies!

I'm actually looking forward to seeing this more than the Grand Canyon-I just think it looks so pretty :)

    Morning all,
Does anyone know if there is a discount code for Restaurant.com at the moment? I don't seem to have received an email from them for some time - my spam rules may be blocking I guess.
    Thanks.
