We had our wedding meal in the Harley Davidson cafe (7 of us)
Faces on peeps as we walked in around 6pm, hah! but, got a nice reception from peeps, and the staff were awesome!
Great food, decent price (had r.com voucher too), and great atmosphere...
We went there as we like american foods, but more importantly, it's different as such, as i guess the Harley isn't the first place u think of going to for a wedding meal!!!
My old trip report from 2011, shows a photo of us in wedding outfit at the Harley ! (and no, i aint a bike fan either!)

Just doing some random trip packages and can get direct VA flights and 7 nights at Vdara for about £855pp, which seems OK, given the higher flight costs these days and rubbish offers in the sales
Pool time is compulsory for the OH. He can still get that in mid November at some places.
Hope that helps.0 -

Ok, I'm looking at Mr Lucky's diner in the Hard Rock. It says I have to sign up for a rock star card? Is this some kind of reward card? I don't gamble, so they'd be no point in me getting one, lol.
Also, some places say one per month. Has anyone has issues using more than one? Obviously not everyday lol, but a few times in a fortnight, say. Thanks.0 -

thanks pebbleswe usually like to go in September, but prices seem to be a good £100pp cheaper for early October - still trying to break the £1500 barrier for 2 people, if I can get under that i think i'd book in an instant. that'd be for direct flights with VA (to build up our miles) and a basic room at Vdara (our favourite, and we've been promised an upgrade to a corner suite when we next visit
)

Thanks Stuie! Great report, I'd managed to miss it until now.
The Harley Cafe sounds fab, definitely somewhere me and OH would like to try, and definitely a bit different

I have pretty much booked everything for my April tip now, It worked out as :
Flying Direct with Virgin from Manchester-£800
First night (which is a Sunday) at Vdara-$120 after taxes and charges are added, booked with Travelocity.
Then 9 nights at The Quad-$270, booked direct.
Then 2 nights at Planet Hollywood-$160, booked direct.
Ending with two nights at The Venetian (Friday & Saturday) £160, booked with Priceline.
I had originally planned on going on the Monday but the flights worked out as only being able to go on Sunday so that is why I have one night at Vdara at the start which I wasn't expecting. It will be a bit of a come down going from 5 star luxury to The Quad but oh well. I'm going to try the $20 trick at Vdara, PH and The V but is there any point at The Quad and for that length of stay?
This is my first time flying direct and I can't wait, think it will make a big difference.
Apart from loads of gambling my main reason for the trip this time is to go to the Mayweather fight. Does anyone have any experience of buying tickets from the UK for a big Vegas fight and which website to use?
Also, another thing I was thinking of doing is go to a couple of the mma and boxing gyms for a tour and to work out. Has anyone done this and how easy are they to get to? I won't be driving.
Thanks for any replys.0 -
Thanks! And that was why I asked about the Border Grill, wondered if it was worth cashing in points for it
On the subject of food, do any of you lovely lot have any recommendations for somewhere we can go for dinner after the wedding?
There will be about 12 of us and we want somewhere nice (obviously!) with great food and great service and I won't say cheap, but we'd like good value for money! :money:
Someone on the 2012 thread recommended Cafe Bellagio as they went there for their wedding meal and got a $50 set menu set up. That's definitely a contender but we're on the look out for other ideas, maybe somewhere slightly more fancy?!
Help?!
We contacted the chef at Society Cafe in the Wynn for our wedding breakfast/meal (12 of us too) and they prepared a custom menu for us (three choices at each stage) for $50 per head. Off the top of my head it was:
starter
Buffalo chicken 'lollipops'
ceasar salad
shrimp cocktail
main
cowboy ribeye steak
jidori chicken
salmon of some kind
dessert
sharing banana splits
We chose this because we had been as a couple the year before and the steak was the best EVER (having eaten at loads of high-end steakhouses all over the world) and I loved the banana split with frozen bananas dipped in different types of chocolate.
A good thing was that we booked the meal for 6pm which meant we had an hour or so to kill from leaving the chapel so we went straight there and hit happy hour!!!
They were very accommodating - printed out custom menu's with our names at the top, laid a beautiful table with flowers and let us put our own Godiva chocolate favours on in matching Wynn colours. They were great at communicating with me in the months/weeks before the wedding too which makes a big difference when planning from the UK.
All in, a FANTASTIC option for us, only downside was it's in the middle of the casino so no view, but we did get the back 'private' section for use.:staradmin There is no normal, only typical :staradmin0 -
^^^^^^
that sounds fantastic.
Just to add to praise for the Wynn, I posted on the Wynn facebook page that it was my 50th while i was staying there. Just after we got to our room there was a knock on the door and a guy handed me a plate of homemade chocolates and a card, it was a nice touch and the chocolates were gorgeous0
