Sorry you have been having a rotten day. Glass of wine, deep bath, snuggle up in pjs under a blankie, and if you feel you must buy, perhaps make it just one thing off your wish list. Hugs.

I couldn't say better myself. If you have other expenses now don't buy any more toiletries. It's only going to add to that lay out. Hope you feel better today.

The snow has not been too bad where we are but it's bitterly cold. My plan today is to drop Emma at karate, do the food shop and then stay in. Will get my jobs done, make a big pot of soup and then read my book. Was planning to go to the cinema tomorrow but am not going out in the cold. I always feel cold in there at the best of times.

Had my hair cut again last night and have repainted my nails this am. Am wearing OPI Unforgretably Blue. Treated my hands and nails with Leighton Denny Manicure spa. My hands are not as sore as they have been but are still very dry.
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

  • Have kept away from the shops after my trip to Debenhams on Monday. Am using the Urban Decay Naked Matte palette and Brow box and the Base Minerals mascara and they are really nice. Not even opened the Base Minerals warm box... time to open up today I think.

Found yet another part used brown mascara and TA that so I do just have one on the go and none in reserve.

One UU during the week, a JASON tea tree handwash. I WBA but I don't think I need to buy soap for years. I kept the bottle and have poured in the BS banana shower gel to use as a handwash instead. It smells seriously gross - a cross between banana and cough mix. However, it doesn't seem to linger on the hands after use that much and does the job just fine. Besides every time I smell it, it reminds me "cheap alone doesn't mean a bargain!" which I think is a good lesson to learn.
  • Found another UU on my dressing table this morning - something from the Aveda Be Curly range - which looking at their web site they've discontinued anyway so I can't buy again, and probably wouldn't have done anyway. Have one in stock to move onto anyway.

The Be Curly Curl Enhancer product is my HG, just wash my hair, comb through and add a bit of that and I get nice healthy looking curls, don't really need the other discontinued product - it's been designed to use on dry hair and mostly when I go curly I leave the house with damp hair.

Got a couple of splutterers that I've cut the tube on, so hopefully they will be UU over the weekend too.

I counted my mini toiletries and make up today...another 42 to the total, although 1 was a TA, so 41 to add :(

TA- MUA mascara: bought this in superdrug as it was only £1 and 3 for 2 with other make-up i needed. For £1 i thought i would try and wish i hadn't! I only used it for about a week until i realised my eyes got itchy when using it. Felt like my eyelashes were clumpy when they weren't (i only use 1 thin layer of mascara, not the caked on style :rotfl:) and didn't feel comfortable when using. WNBA!

Luckily my big s&g set came with a new mascara which has great reviews online and i was considering buying as i had vouchers. So far so good :)
  • Good morning ladies

welcome to all our lovely newbies

    have some uu's :j
lancome bifacials eye makeup remover - this was a 30ml sample size that came with a mascara set, it was good at the job but no better than the much cheaper garnier one, wnba

john freida frizz ease spray, this is excellent, I don't have frizzy hair but my hair is fine and can get quite knotty, this did a great job at akeeping the tangles at bay, wba

Aussie 3 minute miracle shine conditioner- I love the original 3 min version, so was disappointed that this one didn't add much shine to my hair, wnba

this works body scrub - not for me it didn't! nowhere near as good as S&G, wnba

hope everyone is staying warm and toasty in this cold spell

    happy pampering, xo

Hello ladies- I hope you're all keeping warm and safe.

    I have an out:
Burberry weekend perfume (my first ever perfume UU whilst on this challenge i think). WNBA- it used to suit me as a teenager, but not so much now :(

I also have a load of washing in. I've used some shower gel to the wash. It's one of the HUGE bottles from the body shop and it isn't ever going to get used elsewise.
  • Just lost another full post! Annoying!!

Two UU for me this morning, S & G Greatest Scrub of All - another in stash, fine but wouldn't specifically buy again as its just ok, nothing stand out and the tube is annoying as lid is screw on so forever gets dropped in shower and had to cut open at an early stage when there was actually loads left in there. Used the last bit on my legs this morning just to get it finished! The other was Mist You Madly, again another larger bottle left in the stash, I do like the fragrance of this one as its more subtle that the usual S & G overkill.

Snow seems worse here today so I'm staying put! Housework it is, then settle down later to a quiet night in front of the TV. OH is working a late shift but did get sent home early last night due to the weather. Take care everyone! x

I've a couple of these monsters bought in a fit of madness and I've taken to decanting them in turn into a small Lush bottle to make the UU task a more manageable one, especially as the pumps on them are rubbish and you can hardly get any out!! Will be interesting to see how long it takes, 1500ml of shower gel...
