I was advised to put eye cream on brow area and then on lower eye socket only as it will then creep up/down to where it is needed. The skin in that area is so thin it can go puffy if too much cream is used.

I haven't much experience of B&H products but the bit I have had has put me off completely, they copy expensive brands but the products are rubbish.

Just glad that it is another bottle into the recycling.
Same here re Baylis & Harding . I had a few B&H lavender (iirc) toiletries bought for me as a present, a few years ago, the friend who bought them was strapped for cash, but so pleased at finding something she thought I would like.
I felt awful that the present was so rubbish as she had taken such care in choosing it, and haven't bought B&H myself, though it seems to be everywhere.

I turned down a huge B&H toiletries freebie - looked gorgeous but I bet it was carp- when I bought some silver on holiday in Cornwall, I can remember my heart sinking when I saw the label!

Does anyone know of any websites where you can review products or get free trials of products? Sorry if I have posted this in the wrong place but thought getting some free products may help me with this challenge!!

Many of the survey sites such as Valued Opinions and Global Test Market do toiletry trials from time to time. There's also BzzAgent.
I'm trialling shampoo and conditioner at the moment, last year I trialled two bottles of shower gel and Argan oil. I've also trialled face cream, hair dye, eye cream, body lotion and body butter in the past two years.

1 UU of a deodorant (only 3 more to use), but I must confess that I bought a jar of face cream from a!di, as I don't have much left in the one I have.

  • More UU to report:

    93. Cotton Wool pads - WBA but already have another pack

    94. Lush bath ballistic - WBA think its a limited edition christmas one - was shaped like an ice cream cone - it crackled like popcorn which my daughter loved (so did I after I realised it wasnt the bath cracking)

    95. Body shop Cranberry Joy shower gel WNBA this ones too sweet smelling for me although DD likes it - shame there are 3 shower gels some body butter and foam bath in the stash from last years January sale!!! I rediscovered Body shop last year and not realising they did offers all the time set myself up a mini shop in my cupboard that will last until im 103.
    No more buying toiletries
  • Two UUs to report:

Sample size perfume of Infusion d'Iris Prada.WIB? No, I think the scent is slightly too 'mature' for me, it leaves a heavy musky scent which can be overpowering.

    Rosewater which has been replaced

Another UU (first of the year! :j): Boots Natural Collection Lavender Hand Cream. WIBA? I really, really liked the consistency of the cream as it was thick but not too thick and soothed the skin that had become dry on the back of my hands this winter. However, I would prefer a different fragrance.

And I went to the Boots sale. I bought quite a bit of stuff, but most of it is for presents, although I treated myself to a Champney's large box set and I bought 6 soap pump sets to last me the whole year in my flat. I'm not sure how many INs that makes!

Oh, and also, my mum treated herself to a Sanctuary set, but after trying them she can't use the products as they agrevate her eczma. Guess who got them as well?! :rotfl:

Just saw your accident report Roguey - TG you are ok, and hope your evening has been a good one.
A!di's creams are really good, Sue, in my experience. Every one that I've used I've liked. I just wish they would bring the hydro-urea foot cream back on special. That was great.

Ok this is cool. I have 2 whole draws of toiletries and realise that I really need not to buy any until they are finished. I'm pretty sure they will last me for a while.. I wonder how long. Will start today!
Oh Gosh I'm wising up to saving the pennies :j
