Does anyone know of any websites where you can review products or get free trials of products? Sorry if I have posted this in the wrong place but thought getting some free products may help me with this challenge!!
I am on the Goodhousekeeping magazine list(sorry don't know how you join, think i got an invitation as was a subscriber) and often get sent jars of stuff to trail, also Boots trial loads of stuff if you sign up with them, again not sure how I did that but try their website.

Have a little itty bitty uu

Dr Haushka Rose Body Lotion, this was a tiny tube which came in the minis set I won in December. I gave this to DD for her sensitive skin/eczema and it seemed nice enough.

I am having my haircut this morning but have no car so am having to walk, it is about 25 minutes each way all uphill on the way home. Heaven knows what my hair will look like when I get back:eek:

A UU - Dove roll on deordorant. WBA because it was bought using the Boots ACM offer of 25% off deordorant, when it was alreday reduced so was around 60p :D
    (I have several more! :rotfl:)
Hope everyone is keeping warm, it's bitter outside

I did it VALM - I resisted! Bought nothing from the Q at all that day!

Also, have not been interested in the Boots, Lush, L'Occitaine sales.....strange things goin on here in Yorkshire. Think I might need a little lie down
    :p

    Well done scrappie.

I went into Boots in the Trafford Centre last night but all that was left was a shelf full of Christmas cards and I ahem don't need any of these for the foreseeable future! :rotfl:

Another OUT - I gave Emma a Nip and Fab lip butter to add to her friend's birthday goodie bag.

Nothing else to report. I don't even think I have anything spluttering.
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

A needed IN for me today:

Herbal Essences Uplifting Volume conditioner 400ml.

My current conditioner is spluttering and this was half price in Boots. I looked in the sale aisle and it had been pillaged. :p All that was left were some cards and house/kitchen gifts.

Does anyone else hate tubes that have a really wide lid and so are difficult to squeeze out? I cut open a cleaner as I couldn't squeeze anymore out with one hand and it had about 30ml left in it. It's this one: http://www.boots.com/en/Superfacialist-Rose-Hydrate-Cleanser-150ml_1277154/ I would recommend to anyone looking for a thick creamy cleanser. :)
  • I hope everyone is safe in this snow! I got sent home from work at about 1.30pm.

Most of the schools around had closed by 11am so there were a lot of annoyed teachers at my school who were worried about having to drive home (some live 50 or 60 miles away). I think the Headmaster's name will be mud if they are stuck on the motorway all night! And parents were phoning the school all morning asking that their kids be sent home as the parents had been sent home from work themselves!

Luckily I live within walking distance but the walk home was scary enough!

Not really any snow here in Edinburgh although my cul d sac has been a complete sheet of ice for almost the whole week and the council refuse to grit it as its not a main road, its bad enough for me and the kids to walk on let alone the elderly residents!

One UU. Lush candy mountain I finished off the first one in my bath this morning. I have 3 others in stash although one is little more than crumbs

WIBA? Not too sure! It makes pretty bubbles and does smell nice but serves no purpose really, although I'd probably buy a couple in the sale again as I did this yr!

  • Well didn't make it in to work today after a bit of a car accident. Between that and some large unexpected expenses that have cropped up, all my hard work on paying off my credit card is about to be undone.

Unfortunately my response to such stress is to want to buy things... I've held out so far but I feel the need for a boost.
