  • Managed to avoid the Boots sale, although there wasn't really anything decent by the time i managed to get there. This is the first time i've got to the middle of the month (get paid at the end) and have not wanted to buy anything aside from food for work!

Beaticology Sweet Gingerbread shower gel - this was part of a set with a chocolate shower gel and a caramel soap. This is made by Bayliss and Harding and is a load of rubbish. It didn't lather as a shower gel so I put it in the bath and it barely lathered there.

I haven't much experience of B&H products but the bit I have had has put me off completely, they copy expensive brands but the products are rubbish.

Just glad that it is another bottle into the recycling.

  • Thanks for the responses about my exam girls, so glad it's over but shaking myself out of study mode is harder than it should be! I won't find out the result until April so chilling for a few weeks until starting revision for the next module...:(

Can safely say I havn't had any inclination to participate in the Boots sale, not interested by any of the products. Now, if it was a L'occitane sale like that, maybe...:D I got the leaflet in the post from them yesterday with the spend £30 get £20 freebies back deal, but not a massive fan of the Shea butter range so will be avoiding that too. On a roll! :D

Hope you feel better soon Rosemary. Take it easy and it'll soon pass with any luck :)

  • I was pretty good in the Boots sale - only bought an Umberto Giannini miniatures set with a shampoo, conditioner and hairspray that I can use for travelling. Alas, the limited edition Retro products on the Lush website are now catching my eye...

Should have more outs later when I sort stash. Was just sitting here minding my own business in my dressing gown (waiting home for washing machine today) and two men on a cherry picker sailed past the window, which was a bit unexpected, I live on the second floor. Good job it wasn't half an hour earlier when I'd just got out of the shower :eek::eek:

Reminded me of living in Germany nearly 30 years ago, had a top floor flat and a 3 month baby, par for the course with Army housing...
Curtains open as usual one sunny morning and the window cleaner was treated to the sight of me breastfeeding... :o x 1000

Two UU's -my HG anti-perspirant - Mitchum roll - on, this one was a 50 ml powder fresh for women. As it's a Holy Grail product, the WIB question answers itself!

I bought the replacement (same size and variant) a little while ago when it was £1 in either Savers or Wilko's, which have periodic offers on this product. I won't use anything else.
(Unless it's a product trial, but I always come back to this.)

With my recently cutting down on showers from 1 daily to every other day, (as it wasn't of any benefit,) I can now confirm that Mitchum does last 48 hours, as advertised!

Second UU Avon Naturals Cranberry & Cinnamon Body and Hand Lotion 200 ml

    WIBA?
I'm currently using the matching shower gel (400 ml bottle that is lasting AGES now it's not in daily use :D) which I would buy again next winter, so yes, possibly.

The lotion itself is light, not pearlised, hooray, and rubs in well with a lovely fruity, spicy fragrance that lingers, and actually does smell of cranberry and cinnamon. No white marks on clothing.

I would say it was a bit light for use as a hand lotion in winter though (and it's a winter fragrance). As it's a light lotion, the bottle didn't last very long on me, though with losing weight, there is a bit less of me to cover now. This needs to continue! :D

The bottle design is annoying, tall and narrow; it's spent the last week propped upside down in an open drawer as that was the only way I could get any out once we were past two thirds used up. All the Avon Naturals range are in this design of bottle.

The plastic wasn't that thick, and was cut open using ordinary kitchen scissors to get the last application out.

    I must be cured...
No interest in either Lush or the Boots sale, though I would like to try Gok and S&G products some day. But I don't feel I need to. Wow.

I hate to ask but what's this deal? I love the Shea butter range and I've been toying about buying some (so OH can give it to me for my bday present in a few weeks).

Sadly I was at the B00ts sale yesterday. Ohh the shame. I will also have to kill you all if I admit to what I bought.

Sorry I got the price a bit wrong. It's this Winter collection one:

£14 if you spend £30 and use the promo code or get it in store. I admit I like the bag it all comes in :)
