Woo hoo first UU to report! :j Aromatherapy Associates Revive morning bath & shower gel 3ml sample from LIB.

WNBA, thought it would be a citrusy scent but instead it was like crunching on menthol filled cough sweets! Fair clears the tubes though!! :rotfl: Having said that the scent that's still lingering is much more pleasant and a bit more like the grapefruit/rosemary it says it has in it.

Welcome Cas and good luck with your weight loss plan. I'm also a member of the Weight Loss thread on MSE and they seem to be as friendly as the ladies on this thread. Have lost 2lbs in my first week so v. pleased. If anyone is looking for recipe inspiration I heartily recommend The Hairy Dieters book.

Thank you! Will need to have a wee look at this thread too. That and a cuppa can be my reward for doing the inventory.

  • Afternoon ladies hope you are all well,

welcome to the thread Cas  good luck writing your inventory, I find having a list is very helpful for keeping my (roughly) on track - it's also very satisfying when you score something off it!

    I have two uu's -

bourjois blusher in rose dore - this little pot has lasted for aaaaages! The colour is ideal for my skin tone so will definitely buy again

maybelline colossal mascara - I like this a lot, it gives great volume and length and doesn't leave me with panda eyes at the end of the day, wba.

    happy pampering, xo

A UU - Avon Naturals Red Rose and Peach Body Whip, 200 ml
WIBA? - No, but I think it's been discontinued anyway. I got it when it was on offer at under half the normal price. If anyone has this in their stash, prepare to be underwhelmed. Being a whip, it was mostly air and fairly light.
I have now thoroughly learned my lesson. Anything called 'whip' IS mostly air, it may be a nice texture but it doesn't moisturise.
The smell was weird, I got peaches in the scent, but not roses, well, no rose that I recognise. What it did smell like was potassium citrate, which is not a good thing.
It rubbed in okayish, but was another of these pearlised creams that leave traces on clothing if you are not careful. I have had to put black trousers into the wash unworn when one of the Avon pearlised creams left marks on them as I put them on.
Being mostly air, there wasn't a lot of moisturising going on, frankly. I've had a FCUK body whip in the past that did moisturise, but the Avon ones don't seem up to the task.
I've got another Avon product that is spluttering, the Cranberry & Cinnamon body lotion, so that will be another UU this week.

Snow forecast for later on here, still quite sunny, but the sky has that look that if the clouds get their act together, snow WILL be on the way. Just in time to cause havoc for Monday rush hour.

I taught over on the coast 25 miles away on Mondays for 2 and a half years, getting there in snowy weather (on public transport) was nightmarish. I don't miss that aspect of the job!
Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.
