Thank you rogueylawyer! I like my spreadsheets, I've got one for the freezer contents, money, weight, etc and I will need to do one otherwise I'll never really know how much progress I've made.
I've struggled with my weight since I started working 25 years ago and I blame it on the obligatory bun runs! Managed to lose 3 1/2 stones before so I know I can lose 1 1/2 stones. It feels like as I've got older I've forgotten what willpower is! :rotfl:
I think I'm very lucky to work in an office where everyone's fairly health conscious. I think I'm the bad influence!I'd do a list too! It's so handy knowing just exactly what i've got. For example i have 7 bars of soap...we barely use it as we've got shower gels coming out our ears! It's also fun just to see how much you've accumulated over time too
I just counted.... 31 bars of soap here...mcculloch29 wrote: »For anyone who feels like being experimental and using up unloved soap to make Laundry Gloop, I've just re -added the recipe and method I use to the Gloopy Thread.
I get very good results with gloop, but I'm lucky enough to also live in a soft water area which helps.
Noticed that Ald! have some good specials on toiletries tomorrow. I shall struggle, but will ignore.
I have thought about using gloop but I think OH would object. I'm looking at trying to make the soap in to shower gel and hand wash to refill the hand wash pumps once they run out.0 -
I bought this yesterday in Boots sale:-
http://www.boots.com/en/Boots-Extracts-Fairtrade-Cocoa-Butter-Wash-Bag_1270580/
but it's my friend's birthday present so it's an in and an out.
I also got a lovely bargain and it's not toiletries (although not a million miles away!)
I'd seen really nice hanging toiletries bag on the Boots website and in the store quite a while ago. It was £4 and I resisted it because I have loads of toiletry bags, including one hanging one. Also I don't normally buy empty bags as you can get such nice ones with products in and they work out much better value. However, I saw them in store again yesterday and was going to buy one for myself and one as part of a present. I found a different present for my friend, as shown above, so decided to put one back and just keep one for myself. When I went to the till it went through as £1 so of course I had to go back and buy the other 2 on the shelves! I'm going to use them as presents and look around for special offers and travel sizes to go with them. It's sold out on the Boots website and was £2 on there anyway, marked down to half price.3 stone down, 3 more to go0 -

I tried some from the lovely olive oil soap once, but I think I used too much soap to water, as when the weather was very cold it seemed too thick to dispense, there was no mention of glycerine in that recipe either, but might try it again with glycerine as I have a couple of bars of soap which do not make my eczema flare, I will need some kitchen soap soon. BTW I have read that Dove does not work for this. The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -

:rotfl: Wow, that's a hoard! I thought i was bad with my stashes of everything over the house. There's only me and my partner so a bar of soap usually gets thrown out before we get much usage out of it =/ Even with Simple i find it dries out my skin, and as i have eczema and had a baby 6 months ago i wanted to make sure i had a great moisturising product to wash in the shower.
Highly recommend Soap and Glory shower gel - 1 500ml bottle lasts about 10/11 months, doesn't lose it's smell and at 3 pumps every day works out at great value0 -

I've just read this http://www.savvyhousekeeping.com/how-to-turn-a-bar-of-soap-into-liquid-hand-soap/ and have a feeling those six bars of imperial leather are going to last a long long time!
PS, going to probably spend a lot of time reading this site...0 -

BTW, I'm not the one who arrives late, leaves early and does no work - but I work with a few people who do!probably not, and I'm also not the one who arrives late, leaves early etc.
Re your other post, I hope you have saved that email or sent the email to your own computer and not left it at work, that is shocking :mad:Life is a coin, you can spend it anyway you wish, but you can only spend it once.

but it's my friend's birthday present so it's an in and an out.I do like the Boots Extracts products. Had a wee look at the Boots sale last week, didn't buy anything but did see they had plenty of the Extracts shower gel and body butter sets, I bought some of these last year (and the year beofre
) and still to start on them. I have in the past used them and liked them a lot, however trying to avoid the Boots sale, even though if I can get them at 75% off they are a bargain (except I don't need it, sticks fingers in ears
)

Hi Caz - welcome !!
one UU - though not hoarded, a nivea sachet from a magazine. WIB? no - though 1.5 mls from the packet did my face, my arms, my hands and my knees.....Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup0 -

saved the email AND sent it to my home email address - hopefully won't ever be needed but better safe than sorry!
Scared to tempt fate, but things have settled down somewhat in work. I've also had good news today. My son has type one diabetes and has checks every year for retinopathy (eye damage caused by the diabetes). Last year the check showed early signs of problems but this year the check up came back as normal. Very relieved.3 stone down, 3 more to go0 -
