Are you supposed to oil your cuticles? I used to be a nail biter and although I resist most of the time now they do break fairly easily so I tend to leave them to their own devices. I use nail varnish once in a blue moon and usually manage to make a mess even of that!

I do, although not as often as I should - it helps to keep my cuticles moisturised. I find if I use nail varnish after a while it seems to make my nails flake and using cuticle oil seems to strengthen them back up again. The massage is supposed to help your nails grow faster although I am not sure if that is scientifically proven...
  • more INs :o

another mini bottle of YSL foundation and a mini bottle of the new Dior BB cream to try.

I had Shellac nails done before xmas and the girl was giving me a row about the awful dryness of my cuticles! It was an actual proper row, I felt like I was at the dentist :rotfl: In all honesty, I have more to worry about than my cuticles so she probably just did herself out of any future business from me! The worst of it is, I do have a full bottle of OPI cuticle oil, I just never get round to using it.

No more UU from me, but since it was snowing here today  and I didn't fancy going out the front door I had a look through my hair styling stuff, the last great unexplored area of the stash, and threw away some very elderly waxes and the like. I think one of these might have been 10 years old, as I'm sure I bought it when I was at uni or shortly after.

I have about 20 different bottles of various stuff, most of it started and then abandoned again when it didn't give me amazing hair in an instant! I'll actually have to start using some kind of styling product in my hair again or the stash won't go anywhere!

    Welcome to the newbies!

Ok forgive me for I have sinned....

I love love love It's A 10 Miracle Leave In Product, its a pain to get in the UK (I got a bottle from TK Maxx about a month ago for £12.99 and was very pleased with that price)...

I went in the TK Maxx at Bury St Edmunds today... they had the treatment with Keratin version reduced to £5 a bottle :O suffice to say... I relieved them of four bottles :D

One UU to report - Elle MacPherson The Body, Bare Fresh & Smooth Body Scrub 50ml. I'm sure I could have got another 2 or 3 uses out of this but I've had it forever. I do love the fragrance of this range and would buy other products from it (although I don't think they make them any more). However, I'm not a big fan of body scrubs in general and would only buy one if it came as part of a set. I think I do have other items from this range still but not sure where they are!

I'll have to find another scrub in my stash to replace it - not because I need a scrub (just realised how that sounds lol!) but because I know I have some and it needs to be used up.

  • Newbie here :) Just recently discovered these kind of threads and very excited! I feel quite refreshed by my small stash in comparison to what I've read but then I've actually been carefully buy and UU for the last few months.

I have very basic make up now after mountains of it from being a model years ago which well and truly went out of date last year! I've also focused on sticking to the least full products I own so I can remove them. My biggest "must stop" was not opening a bottle (like moisturiser) just because I can't be bothered to look for the one I'm using :o

Anywho! I look forward to reading all your posts and being inspired!
  • Evening all, went to a new spa opening yesterday and had a free manicure so my nails are now OPI Ink, lovely bluey purple colour! Got given a free goody bag with a sachet of OPI Avoplex hand scrub and a mini bottle of OPI avojuice hand lotion.

Also an In of a bath cream to trial for boots.

Reported this as a UU last week - S&G scrub your nose in it, well despite me curing down the tube it lasted another week, completely used up and the tube in the bin. :)
Going to paint my nails tonight, not looking forward to work tomorrow.
Hope the forecasted snow doesn't come.
