I have very dry, sensitive skin and have never found a toner that didn't upset my skin. I tried rosewater and glycerine and found it rather yukky. I just use a damp cotton wool pad to make sure all the cleanser has been removed.

The glycerine is great as a humectant, but like you I find it a bit icky, thought I might try some plain Rosewater with a little Witch Hazel, altho' organic Rosewater is quite expensive.

ValM - Yes it was the little pot.

Becky 2 and TrudiJ glad you are sticking around:D

got my prize at last(LIB advent calender)£336 worth of Mirenesse goodies all the way from Australia:jnot sure I'd use them all so may try and sell some on fleabay.lovely surprise anyway and had a great day at jewelry making class:)

What a lovely surprise, well done!

Maddiemay so glad the good news keeps coming in respect of your brother, its fantastic.

VALM we saw Paloma Faith at the Apollo on Weds, I like it there as you can get so near to the stage, she was fabulous.

With regards to using shower gel and bubble bath as handwash, I do this all the time and have no problems with my sensitive skin, I've even used shampoo I didn't like with no ill effects. Sometimes I do water it down slightly if its a bit too thick to pump well but usually I just use it as is. I've even started buying Wilko's foam bath at around 50p for a big bottle solely for this purpose.

One out for me - Clearasil Blackhead Clearing pads - GA to OH as he was asking for some face wipes for his nose which gets a bit greasy and clogged - I saw an opportunity to get rid of an original stash item which was a bit harsh for my skin and I don't really suffer from blackheads anyway so everyone's happy :D

Nice quite night in tonight in the warm, its milder here today and although there was a lot of snow just down the road, we pretty much had a monsoon here last night! Very odd weather. . .
  • Some ins to confess im afraid:

68/69 2 everpure shampoos - would have needed this in the none to distant future as im on to my last one so took advantage of the offer in Superdrug.

70/71/72 Sure maximum protection cream deo again onto my last one so needed to restock.

    73. Garnier Pure 3 in 1 face wash/scrub/mask - i bought this one to try out and my problem skin has felt a little better whilst using it so restocked whilst it is still on offer

    74. Clarins extra firming foundation - needed a foundation with better coverage was originally wanting to try the everlasting but Debenhams were out of stock so im going to try this instead.

Will have more confessions next week from the nails inc offer and a few other online purchases oops

    I have some UU

The Body Shop Sweet Lemon Body Butter 200ml
The Body Shop Earth Lovers Fig & Rosemary 250ml

Unfortunately I have a bought in, I wasn't going to buy anything this month , but I had a coupon for Holland and Barrett that runs out next week. So I had a browse and as I only have enough body lotion to last a few weeks decided to use my discount to try a new body lotion.

    So in.....

Dr Organic Manuka Honey Skin Lotion 200ml

I also did some shopping in the body shop with a discount code, but all ins are for DH so nothing for me to declare.

Maddiemay, that's great news about your brother.

Hugs to anyone that needs them.
  • IN: Olay Eye Make-up remover. The hot cloth cleanser from Superslug shouldn't be used on eyes so I bought this as it was better than half-price and so I can try them both out on Monday :)

  • I have 2 UU's today. :D
2 x Advance techniques dry end serum. There was a wee squirt in each bottle. I don't actually know if it does any good, so probably WNBA.

The liquid soap in the bathroom was running out, so today I refilled the bottle with some bubble bath, which I have had in a nice glass decanter for years, but not got around to using up as I don't often have baths. The decanter has now been rinsed out (I used the last dregs of the bubble bath in some warm water to clean the bathroom), and tomorrow I will refill it with the remainder of another bubble bath, which I have on the storage rack, hopefully emptying that bottle and freeing up some space.

As i'm home alone for the evening i think i'll try and sort out my stash...i have 2 bottles of handwash opened and another 4 i think in the stash. I plan on mixing the two opened ones so i can get started on a new one :) I also have a miniutre soap and glory bath creme which i should get used within 2 weeks max. I don't have baths often but i live in a big cold house so we've resorted to baths to warm us up! Well done everyone so far, it's lovely reading some of these comments, it's great to have a laugh with people who you don't know! Hope you all have a lovely evening :)

There a lots of good top coats out there. I've tried Nails Inc, Seche Vite and Essies' To Dry For. The Essie one is my favourite. They all perform well and give a lovely gloss but the Essie one is the only one that has not gone gloopy before I finished the bottle. I bought mine in the US on a 3 for 2 deal and got 2 bottles. I've finished one and have a good half a bottle left of the one I'm using. These were bought in October 2011 and as you've probably gathered on here I paint my nails every other day so it gives you an idea of how economical this top coat is.

Thanks, I didn't get round to doing my nails last night so have just done them.
I've used my base coat on top, doesn't seem to have much effect on the look of my nails... will see if prevents chipping! Otherwise I may try the Essie to dry for - I have one of their base coats which I like so may treat myself to the top coat too :)

  • Yey to a massive free stash Rosemary, no idea what the stuff is but sounds good:)

UU Aveda hand relief handcream, this was actually BFs but I got to finish it off, has been on the go for at least 3 years and still smells so good, would def buy but think its fairly expensive.
Debt free and busy treating myself:)

No more toiletries/make up until I've used what I've got stashed since Jan 2011, graduated October 2012. Restocked Dec 13..damn those sales
